That's fantastic to hear about The Graveyard Book, I recently picked up that book and I've heard great things about Neil Gaiman.
A book tour is basically where an author's book is showcased on a blog "tour" for publicity, then the blogs may or may not have a specific post created for them for the tour, there may be an author interview on the blog, or something else related to the book. That's what I've witnessed at least. I hope that helps you out. :)
