I apologize that I wasn't able to make a poll at the end of February. It was a very stressful time for me with school and other responsibilities. Since it's already March, I decided to pick a book that someone nominated in an old poll, and for the other book I picked one that looked interesting (and one I've been wanting to read). I hope that is okay with all of you. I will do better job with setting up April's poll at the end of this month. Let me know any of your concerns/questions. Thanks :-)

Abby You always pick the best books! I'll definitely be reading The Fifth of March!

QNPoohBear | 120 comments The Fifth of March is one of my favorite YA novels ever! I walk around Boston telling everyone things that happened in Ann Rinaldi's novels like it was true and everyone thinks I'm crazy. I always take that one and The Secret of Sarah Revere to read on the train and use as guidebooks to colonial Boston. If you like Fifth of March, also read The Secret of Sarah Revere and Finishing Becca A Story about Peggy Shippen and Benedict Arnold. All her older books are great! Her new books tend to be written for a younger audience yet supremely depressing.

Thank you to both of you for understanding :-) I'm thinking of letting another group member pick a book for next month, or perhaps for May's group read.

I've been wanting to read Fifth of March, too, Abby :-) have you read any of Ann Rinaldi's books before?

Qnpoohbear thanks for the suggestions! I've read Finishing Becca and I think I've read the Secret of Sarah Revere, too. It's so awesome that you're familiar with the Boston area :-) so many cool sights to see! I'd love to visit one day <3

QNPoohBear | 120 comments Come to Boston and bring your book! You can use it as tour guide. You'll know more about colonial Boston than the official tour guides when you're done reading Ann Rinaldi's colonial Boston books. I highly recommend the Freedom Trail and Old State House museum. Today is the 5th of March and it's way too cold to get on the train and go to Boston.

Abby I sure have! Ann Rinaldi is one of my favorite authors. I'll be visiting Boston soon too!
