Suggestion Needed on Series

The author made some revisions to take out the series information from the tile of some of the books but not all. Additionally she left them still included in the series.

I wrote her to try to find out more and to either add the series info back in or to remove it all but it has been over a week with no response.

Any suggestions on whether to add it back in or remove it from book 2 and then delete the series? Based upon other sources it is a series, but then I do not know why she removed the series info from the titles.

Series name is currently considered optional in the title field. (re: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...)

But if it was a series once-upon-a-time, we don't delete the actual series.
