Let's Make a Story

Here you will be posting a sentence at a time to make a story in all. We must work together to fashion this story as the best it can be.
Wendy is a girl.

Wendy is a girl with long brown hair and freckles on her nose. (Am I doing this right??)

Wendy loves to talk and meet new people and she tries to help anyone she can.

[Brandi]

Wendy is an orphan but she lives with girls just like her at the Education of Young Women. She is unsure of why she is allowed in, or who pays for her stay.

[M.K., Creator And Moderator 🎉]

She wishes she had a family yet knows that the Lord will watch over her no matter and will help her through whatever.

[Brandi]

Every night her best friend and bunk mate at the Academy tells her a story about the stars. Those stories always make her smile.

[Alkmini]

They sit together and watch the stars shine out of the window.

She always wonders if someone somewhere is looking at the same star.

But this thought fades away when her friend begins the storytelling...

She imagines herself deep into the story feeling every jolt of the plot.

[Alkmini]

The stories are sometimes about a prince who tries to get a star to win a beautiful princess, other times about fairies who live up there among the stars, but mostly, they are about kids who wish upon a star and their wishes come true...

But one day the lady who runs the orphanage tells Wendy that fairy tales never come true...

Wendy feels alone and scared at times and don't know where to turn.

[Alkmini]

But she remembers that God is always watching over her.

[M.K., Creator And Moderator 🎉]

She reads the Bible and tries to understand every word.

[HailSaira]

And on a special Sunday, a preacher comes to the orphanage to talk to the young ladies.

[M.K., Creator And Moderator 🎉]

His name is Reverend Jon

At first the girls are unsure of him.

[HailSaira]

Because he is so tall and has such a booming voice.

[Tina]

But then they begin to notice his smile as he speaks to each one of them.

[HailSaira]

And they wonder, why is this guy so happy all the time???

[M.K., Creator And Moderator 🎉]

Then there's those many, many strange occasions when he says that some guy named Jesus loved us all.

[HailSaira]

And Wendy says to herself that it sounds better than a fairytale, because it's real.

Wendy just loves when he tells these stories for they just have to be true and she loves the way she feels as though she's not alone!!

AND THEN-

Wendy realized she needs to spread the word to others.

[Alkmini]

So that night, she was the one to share a story about a star with her friend... about a star, that shined so bright, to make known to people that a special baby was born..

Her friend was intrigued by this but couldn't believe such and turned to teasing Wendy.

[Tina]

But Wendy was brave. The Lord was her strength. She went back to the orphanage and went to her room and dropped to her knees. And began praying......

Wendy always knew that her prayer was heard, even in her darkest moments.

[Brandi]

She continued to be an example to her friend and soon things began to change...

Her friend started asking her deep life questions.

[Brandi]

Some were hard to answer, but then Wendy would search the Bible for help and help always came.

[M.K., Creator And Moderator 🎉]

The Bible she had was worn and torn from years of service but it always worked when needed.

[Brandi]

Then something happened in Wendy's life. Something she was not prepared for.

[Mary]

Wendy got adopted.

God really did answer her prayer!!

She often asked what they thought about the Bible and God but they always waved her off, saying they were too busy for such questions.

Wendy decided to prove to them that God is real and He loves them even if they don't believe in Him.

She tried her best to obey them all the time, tell them how she loved them and always prey for them!!

They watched her more intently wondering what causes such a strange occurrence.

were made even more curious about such. But what was they to know, they were only young kids?

[Karis]

They decided to simply ask Wendy what is was that made her so different. When Wendy was asked she was delight and sent a quick thank you prayer to God. Then she told them...

They were kinda scared to ask, for they knew things in life weren't usually free. But, they felt a tugging on her heart so they came right out with a, "Can we have this happen to??"

They just was so excited they began to wonder if they could really have such happen to them...

They seemed to ask more questions and show a sense of curiosity.

They seemed to care more, obey their parents more, and they were always smiling with a hymn pressed upon their lips.

Then their parents began to wonder. It seemed that the same happiness that Wendy always had, had spread into the lives of their other children.

And now they wanted to know more and wasn't afraid to ask.
