So many choices for this book. In an ideal world, the proper order would be, to listen to the radio comedy, to watch the BBC TV 1981 series and afterwards the 2005 film with Martin Freeman starring as an (un)fortunate Earthman Arthur Dent. There are even stage shows -- if you have seen any, please tell us, what were they like.
To sum it all up, we can even tackle Douglas Adams' Infocom Adventure based on the book. Quite coincidentally, BBC announced only few days ago it plans to launch the 30th Anniversary Game Edition. I personally haven't played those interactive fiction games till the Spectrum days. It would be quite a challenge to go back to the roots :)
If you are lost in so many versions of The Hitchhiker's Guide, there's one good site that covers them all: Life, DNA and H2G2
That's all. Freely say whatever you think. Don't panic :)
