Is the book better than the movie?
Book is soooooo much better. Kronos was resurrected on the Last Olympian, not the Sea of Monsters; GROVER was kidnapped BEFORE the story starts, not in the middle of the Golden Fleece search; soooo much more!

The Book would be a million times better but I'm afraid zero times 1 mil. is still zero. The book was wwweaaaaayyyyyyyy better though.
Both of the movies sucked when compared next to the books. If I didn't read the books though the movies would be good

I saw the movie the other week on DVD and glad I didn't pay to see it in the theater like I did "The Lightning Thief." They butchered the book even more than they butchered "Blood Work" by Michael Connelly. It's such as shame, too, because with the two different Percy Jackson series they had the potential of a long-running movie franchise.
I'm not even going to start to tell you how much I'm mad abut the movie. Like there are no words to describe how bad I fangirl raged on this after I watched it. Book 100%

BOOK WAS WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY et cetera better than the movie. I know that all movies based on books are quite different, but this was just... heart-breaking. I go out to the movies to see how the director's imagination pictured it, and I walk out feeling like my money was wasted. I didn't even get ice cream from Rita's afterward, I was so dismayed.
Sure, the movie doesn't live up to the book! Over the years I've learned to separate them in my mind. Also if I was as hypercritical about books to movies as some people, I would just stop watching all movies.(Considering) I have a great imagination, however it is nice to see a story and characters that I love on a big screen. I liked the movies, I enjoyed watching them.
Book is so much better. Movie let me down, frankly speaking. But, let's be honest. Book is ALWAYS better than book ( But this movie dissapointed me soooo much.)
It seems to me that the movies are really different from the books so I just try to pretend that the movies have nothing to do with the books so the movies don't ruin the books for me.
If only the director had just stuck to the storyline in the first movie! Instead he revealed too much and changed the order of things! I admit, it was an entertaining first movie, but if he planned to make Sea of Monters, he shouldn't have screwed it up! Now none of the future PJ movies will be good.
Don't even get me started on all the screw-ups they had. The list is so long... Everybody that I've talked to, that has read the books, HATES the movies. They had such potential...It could have been great... *Sigh*

It. Was. Terrible. Book is way better, and your right, it's like Eragon all over again. both movies I didn't even have to see to know they epic failed. Arya has black hair, Annabeth has blond hair. You'd think they were color blind!!

I saw the first movie, and sorta liked it. Then I read all the books and REALLY hated the first movie. The second movie was way better than the first movie though...but definitely not as good as the second book.

I havent seen it yet, at the end is Thalia in it?? did annabeth really die?? did kronos really get defeted in THIS movie?? he's not supposed 2 untill the last olypan!

Book is loads better! They changed so much in the movie and that means the book is sooooooooooooooo much better. ;)
