Amanda (lettrine) | 400 comments Hello,

I'm new to Goodreads. I'm French and I appologise for my English. But I thought you could help me.

I wanted to add the edition I want to read to 3 books files. But the file that a created didn't link to the book and instead created a new and different file as if the books are unrelated.

The first book is : https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...?

and the non-linked edition that I created : https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...?

The second book is : https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...?

and the non-linked edition that I created which there is also a problem with the author's file : https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...?

The third book is : https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...?

and the non-linked edition that I created which there is also a problem with the author's file : https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...?

I'm deeply sorry for the trouble I caused.

Best regards.

Lettrine

You did not do anything wrong. See https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/2...

When a new edition is added, it always has to be combined by a librarian. The combine feature is down just now, but as soon as it is working again a librarian can combine each of those.

Also, your English is excellent.

Ren | 688 comments You didn't make a mistake. :) The website doesn't explain it properly, but even if you click on "create a new edition" Goodreads will treat it as a new book and you'll have to ask a librarian to manually combine it. I have combined your new editions, and it seems another librarian fixed whatever was wrong with the author names because it's correct now.
