Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven nodded, "Can't thank me for these guys." He laughed lightly, "They're Gods and there's nothing I can do about it." He shrugged, "And yeah, you're welcome...." He flipped himself over the couch, landing on it with a thud, making the old couch creak. He didn't mind if he broke the thing, he would get a new more comfortable one. He still had a lot saved away in his bank account, so it wouldn't be a big deal.

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi smiled letting her teeth show this time. Slowly she was growing less nervous. She glanced up at a clock that was hanging on the wall, and her heart skipped a beat. She hadn't noticed how quickly time was passing. She needed to move on from this part of the city, not to mention find a place to stay for the night, and it was already getting later into the afternoon. It could take her hours to walk far enough from this part of town. She had no idea when the T.V. may turn on, and by that time, she would be screwed. "You've been very nice..." She started slowly, "But, I better get going now, it's getting late and..." She looked down awkwardly, "I um, I don't think I ever caught your name."

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven looked up to see her, his hands behind his head. He didn't mind that she was here, she didn't hurt him, so he doubt she would. "Do you think you'll find a place to stay?" He asked, "And my name is Drayven. I didn't get yours either." He said with a slight yawn.

message 54: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi nodded. "Yeah, I'll have to. I've done it before, I'm sure I'll be fine." she looked down. As much as she would like him to offer for her to stay here, she knew she would have to turn him down if he did. She couldn't risk him finding out about her, not to mention that she barely knew him, and was still a little nervous around him. Sleeping at his house would be a whole other matter.
She smiled up at him shyly, "My name's Lexi." she looked around awkwardly, "I better get going I guess..." she said slowly, determined to walk out the door as soon as possible.

message 55: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven nodded, "How long have you been on the run?" He asked, knowing it was harder to find a new spot. "And if you need a place, I have a couch you can sleep on and its right by the door if you wanna run." He offered shrugging. "Then you won't starve for dinner." he didn't know why he was offering, he did t know the girl and he didn't want to be used, but he was offering, so it wasn't a big deal.

message 56: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments "I-I, um... Just the last couple weeks." She said slowly. Her heart was starting to beat faster. She desperately wanted to stay here, where she thought she would be safe, but she also didn't want to stay, for fear that he would find out who she was. "I..." she started, closed her mouth, and then opened it again. "Thanks for your offer, and it is really tempting..." she said slowly, knowing she had to make a decision, "But I don't think I can stay in this part of town too long..." she felt bad turning him down somehow, but she was too afraid to take his offer. "Thanks so much again, maybe I'll see you around?"

message 57: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven nodded, biting his lip a bit, but not making it to obvious. He realized how much he missed having someone to talk to. He sat up, looking over the couch. "Well, if you're planning on getting out of town tonight, you're crazy." He said, "It's getting dark, and even if you found a place it'd be cold, here it's warm. It's also supposed to rain tonight." He looked at the TV, hitting the remote to turn it on. He looked back at her, "And you could leave at any time. I'm not gunna hold you. But that is if you want to stay, you're already turning it down which is fine."

He looked out the window, "There's an abandoned apartment complex just two roads down west from here. It's pretty nice, and no one is there." He hinted to her.

message 58: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi was about to take him up on his offer, until he turned the T.V. on. Her heart skipped a beat, and her palms grew clammy. It was way too risky now to stay here. She tried to hide how nervous she was by smiling. "Thanks. I'll go check it out." She said slowly. He had been so nice to her, she almost felt bad turning down his offer. In fact, her stomach was knotting up with guilt. Her fear iced over the feeling and she coughed softly, "Thanks again for everything." She smiled weakly and turned, waving a bit to him, before walking towards the door. She opened it slowly, giving him one last glance before she walked out into the street and began jogging in the direction he had suggested.

message 59: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven watched her leave, nodding to her. "No problem." He said softly, watching her closely. When she shut the door, he laid back, looking at the TV after that. He knew it was to late to do anything, so he didn't get up for awhile, in fact, he just fell asleep with the TV and the music blasting. The only reason he woke up is because someone banging on his door. He opened his eyes, walking over to the door and prying it open, thinking it might have been Lexi. He blinked a few times seeing an older man standing in front of him.

He looked around, "Hello?" He asked raising his eyebrow.

"Your music is loud, isn't it?" The man asked, not saying anything more as he stepped into his home.

Drayven rose his eyebrow, "What are you doing in my house?" He asked getting a bit pissed off. He walked over to the sterio, in case there'd be screaming. And if it was Drayven screaming, he wanted people to know.

"Don't ask questions, in fact, you'll be answering a lot of them." He said sitting down on the couch.

Drayven narrowed his yes, "Yeah, or I can stay silent since that's my right."

"I'm with the government, you don't have a right that I don't know, and your rights have been removed at this time and shall stay gone until I leave. Do you understand boy?"

Drayven stopped talking, biting his lip and breathing in, his heart hammering. What would they want with him? He hadn't done anything bad.

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi jogged down the street, taking a couple turns until she reached an alley. Two more streets and she should reach the apartment building. Darkness was already falling on the city, and the shadows had lengthened considerably. A clattering noise further down in the alley caused her to jerk to attention, eyes glued on the spot. Please be a cat, please, please be a cat... She watched the spot for a long moment before something shifted in the shadows. Her heart hammered in her chest as a boy stepped out of the shadows. He had a leather jacket on, and his brown hair was cropped short. There was a sly smile on his face, and a strange hunger in his eyes that made Lexi take a step back. The boy advanced some more. "Well well, what have we got here?"
Lexi backed away some more, hitting the brick wall of a building. She groped along it, trying to inch sideways away from the boy.
He moved closer, planting his arms on the wall on either side of her, preventing any escape. "Has the little kitty come out to play?" He asked softly, his eyes giving her a twice over.
Lexi struggled, trying to get away from him.
The boy ran one hand down her shoulder, moving along until Lexi shoved him away. "Stop it!" She said, struggling to get away again.
The boy grinned, "Why should I?" He grabbed her face and kissed her hard.
Lexi squirmed, lashing out with her hand.
The boy backed away, shocked. He touched his cheek and brought his hand away bloody. Lexi had left four long scratches down his face.
He cursed under his breath, pointing at her, "You messed with the wrong dude girl. I'll be back. And don't think you'll get away with what you did." He disappeared into the shadows again and Lexi immediately began sprinting in the other direction, towards the abandoned apartment building.

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven stayed away from the old man, not knowing what he was going to get at with this. He was moving around, trying to find the nitch he hid the knife in. He found it, luckily, and started pulling it out, but kept it covered so the man wouldn't know.

"Have you met a girl? Mr.... What would you like me to call you?" The man asked.

"I've met many girls before. And the name is Dawson." He lied, he wouldn't give out his real name. He was still on the run.

The man laughed lightly, "Recently. One with.... Ginger hair?"

Drayven kept his emotions cool, making him looked a bit confused. "Uh.... not recently. I used to know one in like, third grade, but I doubt your talking about her." He smirked, his eyes narrowed.

The man narrowed his eyes right back, "Now Dawson, I don't think you know what you're dealing with. If you're hiding her, you must give her back."

What the hell did you do Lexi? he questioned in his mind. "It's just me. That's all who lives here."

"How old are you?"

"17." He answered.

"Don't you need to be 18 to own property?" He asked.

Drayven tensed up, "My father pays for it...." He lied, knowing that this man should know that law doesn't matter in this area in town. That is unless it's big like murder, even though there was a lot with the gangs.

"Dawson, I need to get this girl back, she could be dangerous."

"I haven't met a girl."

This went on for a few hours, the man trying many different ways to get Drayven to speak, but nothing worked. In fact, Drayven almost fell asleep a few times with the man's constant talking. He left though, thinking Drayven didn't know anything.

Drayven put the knife back, waiting and making sure the guy was gone. "What the hell was that about?" He muttered looking back to his room. It was pitch dark, and he was exhausted.

message 62: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi arrived at the building and sprinted inside, her heart pumping so hard it sounded like a gong in her ears. If that kid was part of a gang, she would be in big trouble. She ran through the building to the top floor, where she hid in a corner at the back. She had used all her energy up in that sprint, and did not have enough left to shift. If that kid decided to come back now, she would be screwed.
Someone shouted in the alley outside the building, and Lexi cautiously glanced outside through a boarded window. She could just make out a group of teens in the shadows, no more than 25 no less than 15. They were all boys, by the sounds of it, and none of them sounded friendly.
Lexi watched as one boy stepped into the pale circle of a street light and she bit her lip. It was definitely the same boy that had attacked her in the alley.
She squeezed her eyes shut tight and crawled to the furthest, darkest corner of the building, hoping they would not find her.

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments ((It'd be in the morning because he's not stupid to go outside at night. So, early morning would work for it. The guys could be to stupid to go into a building. XP))

message 66: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((Sure, so skip time a bit, and they find her the next morning?))

message 67: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments ((Alright.))

Drayven was up in the morning, wondering if she had gotten to the abandoned apartment last night. He also had a few questions for her. He got up and got on his bike. He rode down the street, not knowing what he was going to come into. But just in case, he always carried a gun on the back of his bike, just a pistol though and a few rounds of ammunition. He noticed the group of guys, cussing softly. He knew them. Why did he have to know them. They were from the wanna be gang, even though they were more of just a group of runaway waste of skins.

He stopped on the side of the street, a few guys looking over at him. They smirked, "Look what the bike dragged in! Drayven!"

Drayven rolled his eyes, taking off the helmet, "What the hell are you guys doing? You guys are making a lot of noise."

"There's a slut up there that scratched up his face." The guy pointed to the other.

Drayven rolled his eyes, "Oh my God are you serious? So what are you planning on doing to her?"

message 68: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments The scratches on the dude's face had dried up, but he was avoiding smiling because it was still tender. He didn't have any trouble with that. A deep frown was set in his features, "I don't care what we do to her. That little brat is going to be sorry for what she did."

Lexi woke up to voices outside. Her heart was in her throat. She thought the gang would be gone by now. She didn't dare peak outside for fear that they would spot her.

message 69: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven nodded, walking up to him but soon doubling up his fist and striking him across the face. Drayven used to be the leader, and he was much bigger than the boy with scratches. He shook his head, "You are so stupid and such a pansy ass. What were you doing to her," he asked tilting his head. "Trying to rape her in your perverted way?" He asked, his voice louder. They respected him, even though a few would fight Him, just because they didn't know what was good for them.

message 70: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments The boy got off the ground, dusting himself off. "Killjoy." He said, frowning, "Am I not allowed to have a little fun?" He asked, spitting blood onto the ground. "You know what? Whatever. She's not worth it anyways. Come on guys." He said, turning after one final glare at Drayven.

Lexi decided to crawl towards the window. She peaked outside, surprised to see Drayven with the boys outside. Was he one of them? She watched, confused. The pack of boys were leaving now, but Drayven was still there. What is he doing?

message 71: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven rolled his eyes at him, "Dude, I hope you know if you keep doing that then there are going to be a lot more scratches on your body, and probably an area you don't want." He said, "You're not the strongest out of these guys." He warned. He was usually quite nice to them, giving them a place to crash if it was to late to get to the house or giving them a ride. He was like a big brother to them, even if some of them were older than him. He still helped them, even though he wasn't even part of their group. He didn't want to be, and they respected that. You never bite the hand that feeds you.

He looked up at the house, seeing the flash of ginger hair and started inside the house. They were to stupid to walk in? He questioned. "Come on down, they're all gone." He called up, not going to leave his bike.

message 72: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi looked down cautiously. He was right, the boys were gone. But she also felt a little nervous. Why would Drayven want to talk to her? She cautiously walked down the stairs to the main floor. Fear pumped adrenalin into her body. Why was Drayven here? Maybe he just wants to check on me? She looked at his face intently, trying to evaluate his expression. She was ready to run at any second if need be. "Hi." She said finally, not sure if she should walk any closer or keep her distance.

message 73: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments He crossed his arms when she got downstairs, leaning on one of the walls. "So, I have a few questions for you. And don't run." He said narrowing his eyes. He tapped his hip, pulling out his pocket knife, but then putting it back. "And don't even think about attacking me." He said. He sighed. "You're going to answer my questions, alright? You owe me, I fed you and gave you a place to stay."

message 74: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi eyed the bulge in his pocket where the knife was. She swallowed hard, glad she had not come any closer. If there was trouble, she knew her best bet was to run, but even then, the kid had a bike. If she shifted to get away, he would know her secret anyways, so the best option would be to risk telling him about it, or lie to him. He could hand her in, or he could tell she was lying, so neither option sounded very good. She looked down at the floor briefly, and then back at him. "It depends on the question." She said slowly, her voice quiet. She was surprised at how calm it sounded, despite the churning in her stomach.

message 75: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments "Alright, well, I want to know why there was an old man at my house asking about a girl that ran away from the government." His voice was low so he didn't let anyone else hear. "What the hell did you do? And I'm not turning you in." He said looking away, "Plus if I turned you in, not that I would, but if I did, you'd be able to do the same thing with me." He said.

message 76: by Lara (last edited Feb 28, 2014 07:07PM) (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi's shoulders relaxed somewhat and the speed of her heart slowed a tiny bit. She sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. Thinking about what happened brought too many emotions back to the surface. She couldn't do this, she couldn't relive the past. She needed to run from it, like she had been running from everything. Now here was this boy trying to dig it up again. She looked up at him, emotion swelling her throat shut, "I didn't do anything." She said honestly, her voice hoarse. She was determined not to break down in front of someone else, so she bit the inside of her lip until the metallic taste of blood filled her mouth. It effectively kept back the tears.

message 77: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven nodded a bit, pursing his lips, "So why do they want you? And don't lie. I can already tell by your voice it wasn't a happy thought." He said. "But I have to know what exactly I'm protecting." He explained, "And yeah, I am protecting you because I threw him off saying I've never seen you before. So there's something else you owe me."

message 78: by Lara (last edited Feb 28, 2014 07:19PM) (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi nodded briefly, thankful to him. But she couldn't trust that her voice wouldn't break. She shook her head and looked down, she couldn't do this. She shook her head again and again until she calmed somewhat.
"Don't say that." She said softly, "I'm not a... what. I'm a who." She hated being called a thing, a possession, nothing more than another toy of the governments. She had been told that for so long. "I ran from them, because I hated what they did to me. How they treated me, the testing..." Her voice trailed off, not sure how much of the truth she should give, "I ran for my life because they were treating me like an... it. They said I belonged to them, and they want me back." She looked down again. She hated the government so much. They had promised her... they even signed the contract. But they lied. She had to give up everything because of that.

message 79: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven listened to her, his eyebrows furrowing. "They really test on humans?" He asked, "And sorry for referring to you as an it. Didn't mean it like that." He said. He thought of what she was saying, looking her up and down. "I don't know if I want to ask what they did to you.... And I don't know how it would make you a danger to anyone...." He sighed. He tried to think a bit more, but his mind was scrambled. He knew the government was hiding things, and that they did do experiments, but on humans? Real humans? That was ridiculous.

message 80: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi nodded slowly, looking at the ground. She scuffed her shoe in the dirt a bit. "They wanted to make an assassin... a weapon." She said honestly, deciding that there was no harm in telling him now. "That was my name for four years... The Weapon. They wanted to create a human that could heal themselves, shift into any form or disguise easily, and have no remorse whatsoever. They were going to implant a chip in my brain to control me, and make me into the little toy they wanted. That was the night I ran." She finished, her voice quiet. She didn't look up at him. She was too nervous of what expression she would see on his face.

message 81: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven nodded slowly, just listening to her talk. "That's screwed up. I don't blame you for running." He said. "Stay clear of small areas, easier to find you, but in a big place they won't be able to find you." He said giving her tips. "And always go to places they've already been."

message 82: by Lara (last edited Mar 01, 2014 05:56PM) (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi nodded, "I'll try. But, I don't know how much that will help. I'm pretty sure there's a tracker on me somewhere. That's why that man got to your house so quickly after I had been there." She looked down, trembling slightly, "If I knew where it was, I'd cut it out... but I haven't had time to look for it." She paused, looking down. "Running won't really help me anymore. They're getting closer and closer. I'm not going to be around for much longer..." She looked down, fear icing over her heart. It felt good to voice the truth, the fear that had been chasing her for so long.

message 83: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven frowned, "I'll help you any way I can." he said softly, "I might not know you, but I do know that you don't deserve to die because of what they want to do to you." He was pissed off that the government would even do that to someone. He wondered what the hell was wrong with them to even think about harming another being like that. He knew they used to do it on prisoners, but he was pretty sure she wasn't one of those.

message 84: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi nodded slowly. She desperately wanted help. She wanted someone she could trust. Running on her own had been so lonely, and she longed for someone to confide in and talk to. She looked up at him, "I don't want to get you into any trouble because of me." she told him quietly. "They could kill you for helping me." She lookd down. She didnt think he would stick around knowing that.

message 85: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven knew the risks, but just shrugged them off, "What do I really have to live for? A shitty apartment? Yeah, my bike is awesome, but come on.... if I'm dead, what am I going to need?" He asked. "Plus what's worth living if you can't do anything good in life?"

message 86: by Lara (last edited Mar 02, 2014 08:17AM) (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi smiled, emotion swelling in her gut. He had just offered to help her even if he could get killed for it! "Thanks." she managed to whisper. "I'll try not to get you into any trouble." she promised him. Looking away, she thought for a moment. "Could we go to your apartment? I need to find the tracker as soon as possible." she said, worried that the cops could show up at any minute.

He nodded, offering his arm to her, "And if you need any help getting it out, I can help you with that." He said. He knew the ways of the body, and where to cut and where not to cut. He just hopped he wouldn't have to dig to deep. He sighed softly, "It's painstaking to take care of your own injured self."

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((Thats ok))
Lexi nodded, shuddering slightly. "I may need some help." Her voice was quiet. Truth is, she was actually dreading the thought of taking the tracker out. She had never been good with blood. "Were you hurt before?"
She walked over and placed her hand in his. She wasn't as nervous around him any more, and she was super relieved somehow that he had offered to help her.

message 91: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven nodded at her comment on needing help, him have guessed. He looked down at her question, "Yeah, I have." He looked at his wrists, faint scars drawn across them but hidden behind fabric with studs on it. His bracelets hid his darkest secret, but he'd always just say that he got them while running when he really got them from himself.

He brought her to the bike, keeping his hand in hers, making sure whoever looked over at them seen that they were a matching set. People knew around here that if you ever touched his stuff he'd kill you. He didn't care who they were, their head would be his.

message 92: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi knew he was not telling her everything about how he was hurt before, but she also knew that he probably had a reason not to tell her, so she did not push the matter further.

She walked with him to his bike, and noticed one other boy staring at them. He looked down at their hands briefly, surprise flicking across his features. He looked away quickly again and practically jogged around the corner of a building. Lexi frowned, not understanding, then realization washed over her. She blushed slightly, looking down, but she did not argue against the fact that he could keep her safe this way.

message 93: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven looked at the guy with a spark of murder in his eyes. He got on the back of the bike, putting the helmet on her head without asking first. He pulled her on after him, "Hold on to me and don't let go." He didn't know who was with the government anymore, so he had to step carefully.

message 94: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi snapped the strap beneath her chin and wrapped her arms around him without a second thought. She had never ridden a motorcycle before, and wasn't quite sure what to expect. Her heart pounded with excitement, she had always wanted to try riding one.
She looked around nervously though, worried that she would see an agent, or cop, anyone who may take her back to the labs. Every second the tracker was still on her, gave the government more time to find her.

message 95: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven looked back at her, the bike helmet covering her face so she was unrecognizable. He smirked a bit and fired it up, starting down the street. He didn't slow down at all, just kept going and gojn, speeding up, himwihout his helmet on, the wind whipping through his hair. He made it to his apartment in no time and put the bike away, letting her off soon after.

message 96: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi swayed a bit when she got off the bike. She carefully un-clipped the helmet and hung it on the bike's handle-bars. "That was fun." She said, letting a small smile play on her lips. "Scary... but fun." She walked with him up to the apartment door.

message 97: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven laughed a bit. "Yeah. My first ride was much nicer than that. Of course though I learned a lot more and now I go fast." He brought her upstairs when he closed the garage. He unlocked the house and walked in. "The bathroom is on the right down that halfway." He motioned to a long hallway that was pretty dark.

message 98: by Lara (last edited Mar 03, 2014 03:25PM) (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi nodded, and her smile disappeared. She swallowed hard and walked down the hallway, finding the bathroom exactly where Drayven had said it would be. She locked the door after her and looked at herself in the mirror. taking a deep breath, she tried to calm down and immediately began searching for the tracker.

She started by running her hands over her forearms searching for any lumps or bumps that shouldn't be there. She moved along until she had covered most of her torso. When she reached her lower back, she paused, fingering a spot between two ribs. She traced her fingers over an inch long bump that should definitely not be there. She sighed thankfully and pulled her shirt back down over the hem of her jeans. She would need help cutting it out, and it wasn't the most strategic place, but it definitely could have been somewhere more awkward.
She opened the bathroom door again slowly, "I found it." She said, her heart hammering in her chest.

message 99: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 7912 comments Drayven let her go in the bathroom, starting to think of a place that they would be able to put it where they would be safe from. He smirked with the thought. Jude. Jude could get into the gang lands and out. If he put it there, they couldn't go after her, or they might think she was dead.

He turned when he heard her yell for him. He started to walk toward her with the knife, down so it wasn't a threatening position. "Alright." He got in there and put the knife on the counter, along with getting out other items along with a needle and thread, which he'd most likely need. He was just glad he had the practice to do this from all the guys. "This is going to hurt, a lot." He warned, "Now show me where it is so we can get this over with."

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi eyed the knife warily, fear knotting up her stomach. She knew it would hurt. She just hoped she wouldn't faint or barf or anything else stupid like that. Regardless, her breathing was getting faster and faster, her heart pounding frantically against her rib cage.

She turned so her back was too him. She lifted up the back of her shirt a little and pointed to the spot on her back. "There." She said, tracing the bump. It was a couple inches down from her left shoulder blade, and felt as if it was lodged between two ribs. "Do you know what you are doing?" She asked hesitantly, not sure if she wanted to know the answer. She was mostly afraid that she would back out of letting him do it.
