I think the Christ analogy comes over heavy as he teaches them to fish.

The fishing trip was the most realistic thing in the book. They finally laughed
I thoroughly enjoyed reading One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. I was upset at the end, maybe I should have seen something like that coming, but still sad.
The fishing trip was interesting. For the first time, the other patients had finally laughed. I didn't even think they were really going to go on the fishing trip. I thought that the Big Nurse was going to find some reason they couldn't go, but all her tricks didn't work.
