Chapter 7 - Reflection Questions

After spending time alone with God, reflect on your feelings. Consider some of the following questions?
1) How did you feel as you walked and talked with God?
2) What aspects of your love relationship with God became clear to you?
3) If this was a difficult or emotionally uneasy time, why do you think it was?
4) What happened that was especially meaningful or joyful?
5) Would this be the kind of experience you might want to repeat regularly?

It is difficult to know what God wants. God as a person is not usually there for me. Usually, my more personal attempts at communication are directed to Jesus. This may be because my mother directed me that way with her examples of prayer. I obviously struggle with the Trinity concept. There is more closeness in my feelings for Jesus. God is more distant and awesome. There have been a couple of times when I'm convinced someone spoke to me--not out loud, but mentally. These two times involved a great deal of emotional upheaval and consequently were hugely reassuring. If I had to go through an experience as traumatic as these two times, I'd rather not have regular repetitions.
