Hi Steph, I live in the midlands and was in Wales on Sunday to visit my sister. Have just started a travel book where a guy cycles to the four corners of Wales. I got it because he is from the same county as me and he passes near to where my sister lives in Sir Fynwy (Monmouthshire).

I'm also a proud Canuck--raised in Alberta, but now living in Kelowna, BC. Here representing the West, it seems! :) I'm an avid reader, but I just joined GR (finally). I like all kinds of books, but my fave genre is mystery/suspense/thriller. I'm also a big J. K. Rowling fan. I've read the Harry Potter series at least 5 or 6 times, and I really enjoyed the detective fiction book she published as Robert Gailbraith (Cuckoo's Calling). Wow--I'm also long-winded!

Like many here, it seems, I'm also a writer--currently working on an historical fiction novel & a memoir. I'm test-driving some of the memoir material on my blog, if anyone's interested: sunshinesimplethings.blogspot.ca.
