Yeah, I enjoyed this a lot more than the Lindholm stories. The change of dates was funny as she just can't bring herself to go on about how great the Satrap is.

I don't think we learn to much about memory stone in Liveships - but this book shows that she was already clear on what the properties of memory stone were.

Really, really enjoyed this one, but then again I seem to love everything that has Hobb's name against it.

I have already read the Rain Wild Chronicles so this was a flashback to the beginnings of a place I already know and love.

Carillion was great! I love how Hobb can make all of her characters so believable and well thought out. I didn't want the short story to end. I especially want to know how Carlmin grew up :)
