Tracking Fire
YAY i cant wait to see the adventures and journeies my little book will take!Maria did you tell them about the messages in the book?
Enjoy guys x
Thank you - i hope thats ok. Thought it would be nice to keep a little log of it's journey and what you guys think. Yay the start of the adventure begins!!!!! :o)
Ok, I got it today! I'm excited, there is even a sweet Storm Glass/Sea Glass bookmark in it! I should be done with it pretty quickly, I'll let you guys know! :)
I finished it! It was wicked good, you will all love it! I will try to have it sent out by tomorrow but will definitely have it sent to Kimberly by Monday at the latest.
Yesterday my husband and I went to Harry Potter, and then we came home, and in the mail was FIRE!!! I was so excited, I made my husband take care of the kids and I started reading, lol!!! I put the book down about 1am because I was supposed to wake up at 6:30am, and I needed sleep. Today I have commitments until about 1pm, and then I told my husband I am going to read the rest of the day and all night. My goal is to get it into the mail, Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest!
Glad it got there safe. Did you like Harry Potter? Sounds like it was a great day - Harry Potter and Fire all in one day - Fab!
I really liked Harry Potter, we actually went to go see it the Saturday before, but I had my one year old with me, I thought he would sleep...but he didn't, so I missed half of it. It made so much more sense when you see it in its entirety and there was a lot I missed the first time that I am not sure I would have seen even without my baby. It was a FABULOUS day, my husband was laughing at me as I was jumping around the kitchen because the book had come. Okay speaking of which I am going to go read!
Okay I finished the book and I will be sending it to Dani tomorrow. So hopefully Dani will have it before the weekend! It was awesome, I am looking forward to the 3rd book, she is such a good storyteller, and I loved how different it was to Graceling. I won't say anymore because I am trying to really not give Spoilers!
Guess what I just got!!!I am about to go out for the evening so hopefully I will be able to jump right into this late tonight. I can't wait!!
:)
This was such a fab idea - we should do this more often! Bit rubbish being the last tho - I need to move!!!!
I just finished it this morning! WOW! I sooo love it!I will be posting it tomorrow in the mail so hopefully you will get it soon Kristen!
No prob - was a good idea.Im doing my best to hang in there. I'm prob about as impatient as everyone else has been! If i don't think about it i'm ok. Then hopefully it won't seem like such a long time before i receive a package in the post :o)
I can't wait especially as everyone has been saying how great it is!
I got it Friday, sorry that I've been too busy to update! I should finish it today - about 280 pages into it right now. And yes - thanks to Reema for being so patient! :)
I'm hoping to send it out today. Unless something unforeseen happens, I should finish it in the next hour or so and then I'll run off to the post office. :-)
Wait, am I next? If so, then I'm the last person before Reema, so she should still be getting it well before the release date.Yay!
Wow you guys read really fast. It's just as well we did it this way or the first person wouldn't have gotten it untill now if i was first!!!!!
It's here!Things have gotten really hectic for me lately, but I'll be able to send it out by the end of next week at the latest.
So I had Reema's book packed up and ready to go since last Wednesday, but my husband and I have had some serious car trouble and then a family issue came up.So I'm sorry to say that I didn't get it out until today, but it's on it's way to the UK now. Hope you enjoy it, Reema, and again, so sorry about the delay!
No worries. I'm glad everyone has read it and it's given me a little more time to finish the book i'm reading at the mo. I also just wanted to say that my wonderful cat, shophie, who helped me win the book had to be put down at the weekend. After having her for 18years she just got too sick. I just wanted to dedicate this book to her and ask if you would all remember her for her part in getting the book around to all of you.
(If your not a cat lover you prob might not understand, so sorry, but if you are i'm sure you do understand!)
Thanks everyone and i'm glad you all enjoyed the book. x
Reema,So sorry to hear about your cat :( I understand completely! I had to put my dog down in July - she was 16 years and 3 months old and for a lab she was ancient. I don't know how long cats live, but I'm thinking 18 is pretty good?
My thoughts are with you :(
Thanks - 18 is very old for a cat. It's really hard if you have had them for such a long time because they become part of the family. We had had her since i was about 7. She had her own personality and everythng.
Don't thnik i will ever be able to have another cat as it just won't be her.
Sorry about your dog, i think having to have them put down is so much harder than if they go of natural causes, especially if you are there with them when it happens.
Hey sorry its taken a little while - not been very well!!!The book arrived a couple of days ago. Thank you soooooo much to everyone for the messages and little gifts - you guys didn't have to but it was really nice to have a little something from the places the book went to. They were all so cool.
I'm so glad you all enjoyed the book and i will be reading it as soon as i've finished reading Sea Glass.
Kimberly - My boyfrend wasn't too impressed when i told him that he's prob not going to see me for a few days!
LOL!!! Well I am glad you got the book, and I'm sure your boyfriend will live lol, does he have a hobby, footy, gaming, or something? Maybe you could give him that giant penny and tell him to go buy something pretty.
I'm thrilled the book made it to you Reema! I've sent so many books that have gotten lost in the mail, I was worried (but I wasn't going to mention it here!).My theory on all my lost books is the post office has a secret book club that meets in the bowels of the main post office center and they steal books to read for their group! I should be flattered, but I'm pissed my books didn't get delivered!
Okay - I'm done ranting ;> Reema, I would love to know what goodies you got! I was lame and only included a bookmark :(
I'm at work at the min but when i get home i will take some pics of everything and post it.Kimberly - He does his Capoeira, gymnastics and acrobatics 3/4 times a week so he has that. He loves reading as well so if he is lucky i might let him read Fire as he read Graceling but got annoyed that his favourite character became blind!!! So he might refuse to read it just to make a point!
Maria - I think your books are the only books in the YA category that he actually likes as it's not just about people falling in love and being stupid (his words for doing things that 'normal' people wouldn't do!)!!!! He loves Valek, Ari and Janco and Yelena to a certain extent. He hasn't read the Glass ones yet as he said he wants to read some grown up books at the moment - whatever that means!!!! But he does want to read them.
I also think you might be right about the post office. We should come up with some sort of plot to fish them out!!!!! Just think - What would Yelena and Opal do????
I was quite impressed that it made it all the way - being shipped that many times. And you guys kept it in such good condition.

Hopefully, we'll see a few pictures of the book enroute from the West Coast of the USA to the East Coast and then across the Atlantic to the UK.
FIRE was sent today (July 10th) from Pennsylvania to Meghan in Oregon via USPS first class mail!
