I mean, it's not like I don't like him. I don't know anything about him, really. He's not even on my radar, except when I hear him singing on the radio or on a CD... and I'll change the music right away.

i was in a department store that was being remodeled. the store was near the town center in a fictional town i know i have visited before in dreams. i talked to others in the store about how strange/ugly the remodels were. then don draper showed up and asked me what i thought of them. i told him what i thought and added that the carpeting and chairs made the place look like a cheap church. after that we enterend a room where people were seated in rows as if they were expecting a presentation. we took a seat with them. someone else had brought a sheep and took it to the bathroom. the sheep had black ragged wool and big glowing red eyes. after a while the sheep and its owner returned. everyone stood up, apparently the presentation was over, if there ever was one. don was going to drive me home. his car had the steering column on the right. bobbie barrett was also with us and i had to sit in the back. there wasn't enough legroom. don draper was my (step) father. what?!

when i came home this morning and i couldn't find my keys i thought i had been robbed because of the dream. turns out i just locked myself out saturday, the keys were still lying in their usual spot on the bookcase. maybe my subconscious knew i forgot my keyes.

That would be a great conversation - Patty, you do a great job for us , and your work is exemplary, but you really need to stop shooting at your fellow employees. That will not look good on your next review.

The frightening part of this is that the abyss was pink.
Abysses are usually black..

That must have been the other abyss.

i also dreamt i was in a chase, in a cartoon/movie world. the bad guys were early twentieth century germans wearing the helmets with a spike on top and dressed in green driving a big green bus.

Makes sense.

Janine I think you should go shopping. And give a complete report of what you buy.

first i was safe indoors observing the people outside, but then i decided i needed to go outside to spy on people and see what they were really up to. i used a fake name (biney, inspired by season one of dexter i presume), talked to some people and then killed some of them. i don't remember the killing part. then a woman found out i had killed her friends and that i had been lying about my name and other things. she came after me and said some very witty things (i remember being impressed) using what i had said to her and others against me. then she reached for my neck and just before she snapped it (she was exceptionally strong) i woke up. i really really really want the dress she was wearing.
after some contemplation on this dream i fell asleep again. in my second dream i had inherited some books because my father's wife #2 (in reality he's still with #1, my mother) had died. i was just looking at my new cool e-reader (black, ipad-thin, ca. 17 inches in diameter, with a paper jacket so it could be shelved and look like a real book) but before i could turn it on i heard noises on the hallway. it was my father. apparently he had inherited some gold bars and was trying to hide them in a corner behind a door. i tried to help him, but the bags the gold bars were in were also filled with pasta and bolognese sauce.

I dreamed that I was hanging out with two friends from my childhood, two from high school, two current friends, and my brother and sister and nephew. We all converged on a vacation spot and then decided to walk to dinner. While at the restaurant, I noticed some really cool stuff - like people were shrunken to fit inside the dining area of little glass bubbles that were lit from inside. They kind of looked like those giant glass balls you might see floating on water or around beach houses. Also, this restaurant was giving away really cool door prizes - couture clothing, hats, purses, vacations, money!!!, tech gadgets that seemed too cool for Sharper Image... and I was wondering why I'd never heard about this really cool place! I mean, surely word of mouth would've gotten out about something like THIS. And then I realized the regular patrons likely didn't want it to become too popular. They were enough to sustain the business at this place. I decided we should ask if we could all dine in one of the glass bubbles, too... and asked everyone in the group if they were agreeable to this. They also appreciated the novelty of this, so of course, they agreed to it. We waited at a regular table while they prepared our glass bubble for us. I was so excited... I was going to be shrunken to miniature size!!! I think we all were. I couldn't wait to find out how they would do it. While we were waiting at our table, I noticed the wait staff... everyone was extraordinarily beautiful. I mean gorgeous! The men, the women... and they were all so kind and polite and intelligent, but not at all in a creepy, sending off big red flags kind of way... just in a very unassuming kind of way. And while we were waiting, I found out that I won the door prize and I got my pick of hats! The hats were large gorgeous canvas hats - they seemed like a cross between the humongous straw hats with the sophisticated wave in the front and a fishing canvas hat, some with madras print. I decided to go with a large-brimmed beige canvas hat with black velvet trim. It was so beautiful. When I got back to the table where my group was sitting, we oooh'd and ahhhh'd over the hat and then the waitress told us our table was ready and to follow her. I was so excited to see our glass bubble was a mottled yellow bubble and I could see shrunken hanging baskets inside it with beautiful container gardens and little trees and white lights strung all around. She was about to shrink us when I woke up to my roommate coming home and his dogs whining for him to hurry up and unlock the door already.
Then Robby gave me lots of kisses all over my face. :) For real.

What a cool thread, now I know where to post dreams, if I remember - I'll have to come here first thing in the morning before my remembrances recede.
Altho I'm a little worried about janine's killing sprees! Who knows what lurks in the hearts of man? :D

Bun, I almost always remember my dreams in vivid detail. My coworkers usually get to hear about them. I just forget to post them here most of the time.

I saw Ellie Kemper from The Office on Craig Ferguson's show the other night talking about having the teeth-falling-out dream and how it is a text book insecurity dream. I had never heard this before, but I suppose it makes sense. What is there to be insecure about if not randomly losing a bunch of teeth?
Anyone else have those?
