Have I?

I had a lot of bundt cake in my childhood, which would explain a fixation with it. But this bundt cake dream was caused by an ad for a bundt cake I saw in a magazine, a bundt cake costing $49.

message 1202: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) That's not a bundt -- it's a home run!

Aliyah | 369 comments haha, I read on the net that people who dream about cakes are self-indulgent. If you're a vampire/zombie hunter (in your dreams)- you are stressed, deprived or sexually frustrated. Take this snippets with a pinch of salt....

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Last night I dreamed of trying to talk sense to a woman who had adopted co-joined twins. They had been attached as newborns and had been through surgery. She was thinking of getting them re-attached at the shoulder, she felt they missed the closeness. I was really trying to be calm and reason with her.

Félix (habitseven) Wow.

Your cats would totally eat the T. Rex!

On my right hand I was painting a thick, dark red polish. On my left hand, trying various pale pink-beiges. One of them dried unexpectedly with an effect of delicate flowers, with an almost 3D effect. It was incredibly beautiful. (Day residue: appliquéd flowers on couture dresses.) But my right hand kept brushing against fabrics and other things and its nails were all smeared.

Had a nightmare my boss got REALLY mad at me for eating all of the mustard. I had bought two more, but forgot to bring them from home. He was yelling. He never yells in real life.

A blue Datsun came up on our right travelling really fast. It was so close to us that it scraped the length of our car down one side as it sped past. Mr evie had a mini road rage episode .

This week I have been having very violent dreams.

The latest one. I involved in a relationship with a man of mixed race Indian European. (he bore no resemblance to anyone I know)

We were attending a service of some kind at a church (place of worship) where his father was being recognised/celebrated for something (which I can't remember). Europeans came in and slaughtered everyone including my lover. I was unharmed due to the fact I was caucasion. A priest pulled me aside to "save me". I didn't want to be saved.

It was far more involed but that is the bones of it.
Very very weird. Dreams are so hard to explain.

message 1230: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4437 comments It seems to be a week for nightmares. Mr evie was crying in his sleep last night .

I was dreaming a guy at work was hugging his father and sobbing. Then I woke up because mr evie was groaning . He was dreaming our daughter was a toddler and he was pushing her up a hill in her pram. He pushed fast to the top, and then the pram hit some rocks and she fell out and over a cliff.

Awful.

message 1232: by Aliyah (new)

Aliyah | 369 comments shame, ladies. seems like last week was a week of nightmares and violent dreams.

As for me, last week all my dreams were fluff, like something out of a Nicolas Sparks novel. Hated it. I'm technically not a romancer or romantic in real life. 90% of it featured exes.

I had a 5 page paper and a 30 page paper, both for the same class, due Tuesday. It was Saturday morning. I had no idea what I was going to write on, had no handouts from the class, and had to verify from another student even what the length of the papers was supposed to be.

Susan, I don't believe this! SpookY!

I just woke from a nana nap during which I dreamed I was at my mum's house, and when she went shopping I decided to have a sleep.
I was in my old bedroom asleep with the door shut when a knock on the bedroom door woke me. I got up and opened the door, and dad (who passed away last year) was standing there smiling. I cried and hugged him and said "you came back."
I don't remember him speaking, but he was smiling and laughing. Then there was another knock on the front door and I said to dad that he had better go because Mum was home .
Next thing I heard a knock on my own front door and mr evie speaking to a pizza guy. Then I was awake.

That's nice that you got to see your dad in your dream, especially smiling and laughing! That's very common in the year after someone close to you dies.

message 1238: by Bibliophile (new)

Bibliophile | 125 comments I just woke up from a very unpleasant dream. I suddenly realized that I had plans to go to Africa (don't know which country) for two weeks with a friend. We were leaving in two days time, and I couldn't remember making the plan. I hadn't even taken time off from work, and really didn't want to go. I tried to talk to my friend and she was furious and really mean. In real life, we're taking a trip together in April.

I often have reassuring dreams of deceased Hospice clients. My favorite was Mr. Buck, who came to a 5K I had organized (I was nervous) and told me how proud he was of me and that I'd done a wonderful thing. I am tearing up remembering dear Mr. Buck.

I had a weird dream last night.

I was desperate for a cigarette. I couldn't get the match to light because I didn't have a box to strike it on. I tried lighting the match with the car cigarette lighter, it wouldn't light. I eventually had to find a corner store to buy matches. That cigarette was so satisfying once I finally got it lit.

The weird thing! I have never been a smoker.

OH MAN. Ran into Mr. Buck's son Saturday, told him about my sweet dream and he CRIED. He just held my hand and said, "of course my dad said that. Sounds just like something he would say."
