evie (ecie) | 4437 comments Mr evie and I rented a beach house somewhere on Jervis Bay. We arrived late at night and I woke up early the next morning and went to explore outside while Mr evie was still asleep.
The house was situated overlooking a little beach, and ours was the only house I could see. It was an 'A' framed house. Behind the house was a really bushy hill with a stream running down into the bay. I spotted a family of great apes in the bush.
There was wooden walkway that went by the house and right along the water front. I remember thinking it would be noisy during the high season because there would be loads of people using the walkway.

I could pick two free items from Cindy Crawford's makeup line, in a store which looked a lot like an airport gift shop. There wasn't a lot of selection. I picked one item, then pawed through the foundations and nail polishes, there was a Pepto Bismol pink glittery polish, and rubber hair caps rolled into tubes. For some reason a lot of the items were submerged in baby oil or mineral oil, so I didn't want to touch them. I stood there for a long time, vaguely dissatisfied. I noticed they had some other items on another counter - peppermint Chiclets on a ceramic tray decorated to promote Italy or someplace similar, for $6.54, and a huge white tray of chiclets with another design. I decided to go for the smaller tray of chiclets. An employee approached me and I thought maybe she thought I was shoplifting.

Is this a real thing or a dream thing? Because if it's real, I need it in my life.

It was a dream soda. ICK! I eat candy corn, but I wouldn't drink it.

Susan | 6406 comments My dream started last night with my face getting closer and closer to a mug of coffee with popcorn floating on top of the coffee. At the last second, I looked up to see a man with a giant, foam cowboy hat on his head.
Thanks, LG.

My dream last night was very long, with many multiple parts. In one part a man was in a house reading a poem titled Opposition to a Mexican Wedding.

message 1159: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I was reading that poem last night!

Because I couldn't see the man's face clearly, but it might have been you.

message 1163: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I may have been doing it in a dream but don't remember it.

janine | 7709 comments I've been watching a lot of Buffy lately which resulted in the following dream. Someone was coming after me. I had an artefact or a weapon he needed. But I knew he'd use it for evil so I didn't give it to him. I was in a swimming pool and had the weapon with me. The guy began throwing pages torn from books into the pool. The pages attacked me, but I had a sword on me which I used to slice the pages in half, killing them. I remember looking pretty badass slaying the pages. When there were no more pages attacking me I decided to take a nap on the bottom of the pool until the guy left.

Wow. Weird. Book pages, no less.

I dreamed I was about 30 yards or so away from a kindergarten class, probably across the street and several floors up. I could see into the class. A man had just died in the class and was now lying face down on some boxes, and the kindergarten teacher was leading all the kids out of the classroom to get away from the body. The kids were clueless, just prancing or walking along like 5-year olds do, like zombies, not even noticing the body.

evie (ecie) | 4437 comments I dreamed I was with a girl from work and we were moving a heavy table into a motel room. I kept telling her to hold her abdominal muscles tight so that her lower back was supported.

Evie is a mom, even in her dreams. :) I love that!

So, I was running with a group of people. I'm not sure who or what we were running from, but it was scary desperate running. Then, in an open field we run into this chubby kid who tells us to stop and firework like sparks come out of his hands and fly all around us. We all glow green at this point, but it's a good thing. Then the sparks shoot up and hit a tree then fly into the sky. The kid shouts at us to quickly look and tell him what the tree says before the light fades. The side of the tree says, "My turnovers turn over".

I can only imagine that my subconscious wants to know how Phil's apple turnovers turned out? Or, I am jonesing for some TC. Life has been work/family/travel/Christmas crazy. *sigh*

Okay, so in the H.G. Wells book The Time Machine there were the Morlocks, and then the pretty people up top with the big eyes, I can't remember what they were called. The Eloi? Something like that. So I dreamed that I was travelling forward in time and taking the Eloi (or whatever they're called) one at a time back to all different times in history and dropping them off. It had something to do with diversifying the gene pool.

That's all I remember.

message 1178: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Interesting dream you had there.

message 1179: by [deleted user] (last edited Dec 13, 2012 11:03AM) (new)

It has been a really long time since I've read The Time Machine...not sure what put that into my head. I expect the "gene pool" part was having been handed a book called Evolving In Monkey Town to read earlier that evening.

message 1180: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) That's what's interesting to me -- where does stuff come from in dreams? Fascinating.

message 1181: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I have a dream interpretation book but I am never satisfied with what I find when I look up something. It simply gives meanings to symbols or minor actions that occur in dreams. I think there is so much more going on in a dream.

message 1182: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) You can't put dreams in a book.

I was on the committee that would decide if Chuck Hagel became Sec of Defense. It was not a Congressional committee, just a seemingly random group of people seated around conference tables set up in a square. Oddly, Chuck Hagel chaired the committee. I got to the meeting a little late, took my seat, and noticed I had mistakenly brought the Edition Peters of Bach's English Suites with me. Chuck Hagel began talking about himself.

I was on a very small road trip with Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck. We had stopped in a small town and Jennifer wanted to sell some of their old used books she had with her, to raise some cash.

I was playing two very fast piano pieces, but not properly, really just letting my fingers skitter lightly over the keys. One was Chopin's Etude Op. 10 No. 1. After a page or so a blond woman walked up and started talking to me. She resembled Heidi Klum. The tip of her nose was kind of on fire, glowing and smoking like an ember. It alarmed me and I thought it must be painful, but she was ignoring it.

Susan | 6406 comments First, I was eating a brownie someone had handed me and I was in heaven. It was the best brownie I had ever had and I was thinking of how I could get more.

Then I was with my husband looking at houses to buy. We were inside a gigantic house. For some reason, we began upstairs and I was talking about what colors we could paint the rooms. He said the colors that had been painted were fine and I said that they were not painted but wallpapered. I started pulling the wallpaper off the wall. We went downstairs and it had a dining room that sat at least 30 people easily. The living room was huge with exposed wood and a very high ceiling. I commented that it was the nicest house we had looked at for the money and I really liked the wooden beams. My husband seemed unimpressed.
I was then living in the house and answering the door. My mom had come for a visit. I told her, "Thank goodness you are here. This house is too big. You have to help me find little".

message 1194: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11837 comments I made brownies for my son's birthday party. Maybe Susan smelled their yumminess and incorporated them into her dream.

message 1195: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I could have wrote about that house from my dream in so much more detail. I can still see everything perfectly in my mind.

Why am I plaqued with the desire for brownies lately?! It is like I am under some kind of brownie spell.

::sniffs air and follows brownie smell to Phil's house::

message 1197: by Aliyah (new)

Aliyah | 369 comments For some weird reason, I always have Donnie Darko, type of dreams that don't make any sense or the types where I'm killing vampires/ zombies. This usually happens when I'm stressed. I also constantly dream about being stuck in a foreign country with no money or visa and flying like Superman. Once I dreamt that I was at the comic con festival and that I was at a U2 concert. Those were the best dreams ever.

I had a dream about a really big bundt cake made with beer. The dream was really long and multilayered, and segment about the bundt cake seemed to go on forever. It was very, very complex.
