Widget says I have reached my goal of 100 books!!! Yay, me!
Now I need to work on my genre goal. :)
Now I need to work on my genre goal. :)
Thanks Iasa, hopefully over the next few weeks I will find some time to catch up!Francine - any tips on how you managed it? Did you find it took long/a lot of extra time to catch up?

It was a combination of a number of things - I re-read a couple of my favorite standbys, I marathon-ed through a 5 book middle-grade series and I just chose to read as opposed to watching TV. I did have a vacation in there as well, so I did have extra time on my hands. :)

Wow, Renee, that's fantastic!
I've discovered the problem with my widget - I'd forgotten to add one of my books to the shelf I created for this group's challenge, so the widget on my personal page showed a different result from the widget on the group's page! Oops!
I'm one book ahead. :D

Sinead, I highly, HIGHLY recommend audiobooks. Choose short ones and listen to them whenever you get the chance - you will catch up pretty soon.:)

Oops!..."I've done that before with my "read in x" shelf ("x" being the year). I try to keep that from happening by trying to remember to add the book I have just finished reading to that shelf when I am changing the reading status for the book from "currently reading" to "read". That is just what I do for the book here on Goodreads. I also "track" my reading on my blog with a currently reading link (to the book at amazon) and a list of the last 10 books read.
Still working on Under the Dome and A Clash of Kings and now I am 8 books ahead of schedule. Wonder what my widget will say when I finish both books.
That's a great feeling; being comfortable in upping your goal and knowing you're still going to accomplish it. Nice going, Gavin!
Ohhh, reading vacation! I'm so jealous. You will definitely catch up then Holly. Are you planning out all of the books that you want to read then?
"You have read 63 of 75 books."I teach, so I am trying to read a bunch of different things to recommend to students. This means I can zip through a bunch of very short titles. However, I didn't want to push the end goal too high, because I like to read 2-3 adult classics per year (and those are sometimes pretty hefty and hard to move through). I'm also drawn to YA, so I keep getting sucked into those books (many of which are too old for my students) -- but that's okay. It's the fun part. :-)
It's a great feeling, sandy! I admire you for even attempting under the dome, Captkirk, so pay no mind to your widget!

It is mostly for the "buddy read group challenge". Also I've been enjoying the television show.
My what? :D
Don't worry about being behind Holly, there are still a few months to catch up and I'm sure you will be reading a lot at uni. The readathon may get you back on track too!
End of the month coming so now I'm back down to 3 behind from underneath King's Dome. Won't be there for much longer. My current read is only 30 pages from being finished. :)
The widget says 3 books behind. But since my challenge is about physical books, and I read 3 ebooks, I'm actually 6 books behind. I'm catching up, though!
42 out of 50, 10 books ahead of schedule. Ah, now that life's getting in the way, feels good to be ahead.
13 books ahead of schedule...which sounds great, except my goal now is 80 and I would really like to bump it up to 100. With 100 as the goal, I'm actually behind by 7.
Great job Iasa! You'll be at 100% in no time, especially with all of these challenges. Are you considering upping your goal once you meet it?
This is a great place to help you meet your reading goal, Skylar. You're sure to catch up! Are you joining the Read-athon?
Yes! We're gearing up for the weekend, so there's chat and plan sharing.
Also, check out the mini-challenge folder for some addictive motivation. ;)
Everyone here is really friendly and supportive. So feel welcome to ask questions and share ideas.

I was four books ahead of schedule so I felt I could up my challenge (from 45 books to 52) and now I'm one behind schedule but feeling hopeful! If I manage it this'll be dead exciting, I've never managed to meet the "one-book-a-week" target before!
My widgets don't match! on my home page it says I am 9 books ahead of schedule and on our group home page for my challenge it says 7 books ahead because there are two very short reads that I am not counting for my challenge but gr counts them. But my next read is going to be A Storm of Swords so I do not expect to be that far ahead for long.
