I love this book so much.

I haven't read a lot of it today but I am currently on page 235 and I love this conversation:

(view spoiler)[ how did she know to hold the stone up as a light when she thought it was just a rock? I know Jace told her it was a weapon but he never told her what it did or how to use it unless I missed that. (hide spoiler)]

I'm 90% done with first book, and all I can say is, WOW, this book got SO MUCH better from the start, yeah there are some parts that you need to read a bit slow, but so much of everything! (view spoiler)[Loved that wolf story (aka 'How Luke become wolf and other') , that Luke told Clary, I was reading that like really slooooow XD (hide spoiler)] huh After all, I'm not disappointed. Planning to finish City of Bones tomorrow and then right after I end with it start with City of Ashes.

I hated that chapter (#21, I think). There are 14 pages of monologue? Really? He's going to talk for that long with no interruptions? And the style of speech was completely out of character for him. If you're doing an exposition via dialogue, keep it short and simple and realistic.

You can read my review, everything is there (from the book :P). :) Maybe I left some parts, but those important and those that I really liked are there. Nice book, and now after I finished it, I can say it's really good, and can't wait to start with City of Ashes! :D

(view spoiler)[ At the end of the chapter where clary 'rescues' Jace, Valentine went through the portal to Idris and he broke it from the other side (so he didn't die).
In the movie, the doors that froze, were meant to be the same portal that was at Renwick's only, since they pretty much set the whole movie in the Institute; I guess that it was kind of confusing. Also, instead of shattering it was frozen..?(so he didn't die) I really hated the movie. They messed it up big time. (hide spoiler)]

Let's just say that the CoB movie was almost as bad as the PJO adaptation.
