Me too! I am doing another buddy read for Shadow and Bone to prepare for this one.

Is it necessary or would it be highly helpful to read Shadow and Bone before starting this series? If so, why?

[Michelle]

I think it takes place in the same world as Shadow and Bone but there are an entire new set of characters. I don't know if the events from shadow and bone will be mentioned in this story.

Earlier today this book was still not available at my library but now it says there are 8 books available and I am 2nd in the queue, so I don't know when I'll get it. Only 1 is in my own library. Fingers crossed!

My copy says ready to pick up. I will bring it home after work tonight. I should be able to start later tonight or tomorrow afternoon.

I hope everyone can get their copy soon. I am in the middle of a buddy read but once I finish my book I am going to start this. I should be starting latest Saturday. I'm very excited. I have heard great reviews so far.

It is so frustrating because it shows that I am second in the queue but it also shows it as being available soon so they don't have the books yet. I don't know I might have to cave-in and buy this one but I can't keep doing that. LOL I'm going to put us in the bankrupt house! LOL

Lol Vicki there is no pressure on you to get the book today. You can always start late and it won't be a big deal. :)

I started but have not read very far yet. I'm actually having a hard time getting into this one. I had the same problem with her pervious series which I ended up loving. I am hoping this picks up for me soon. I will post updates once I get the sense of what is happening.

it's good but a little...bit much. it's taking ALL MY ATTENTION to try to remember it all. it's definitely a tough book to be reading other books at the same time

but it IS getting better :) the first two chapters were rough....really rough...
