anyone else not like it?

Maybe it was just me, but I felt like the plot was unclear and there really wasn't one, it had an anti-climatic ending, the romance felt "forced" like every other book out there, the book didn't really "go" anywhere. Reverie, which I thought was the coolest part of the book was never even talked about beyond the first few chapters. It was basically a book with a lot of potential that fell short. Anyone else feel the same way?

I TOTALLY agree!!! Not necessarily a BAD book, but not living up to its potential. I will continue the series in hopes it will get better (and to mark it off my book list) but the first book prevents the series from gaining a 4 star review as a whole even if the next two are some of the best things that have ever existed. I hope the characters and the plot become more 3d rather than 2D.
There WERE some pros but not enough to make the story as great as it could be.

I rated it 3 stars because i didnt like it nor dislike it. I felt indifferent though it was interesting (not hooking)

I agree completely. There were some good things but, not enough to redeem the book.

I couldn't even get through the first few pages. I had to put it down. Sadly this is the second book that I couldn't get through this year. I was so excited to read it when I saw the rating but uuugh ....false hopes!

I though it was just me! I felt like this book was a really good idea that was not taken to its full potential. There were some good points that were just not developed, in my opinion.

Yes! Same. I had heard so much about this book, and I was totally disappointed. It felt as if the plot idea was good, but not finished, I had this feeling that something was missing.
There were some redeeming qualities, but not enough to make me really like the book.

I did not particularly like the book but bought the second one in the series anyway and that one was so much better and I really liked it! Bought the third as soon as it came out and I'll be reading it very soon.
