Hallie sat silently on one of the bars with her eyes closed, slightly swaying in the sharp wind that had appeared today. She sat about 20ft down from the viewing balcony, and had gotten there by flying. Her wings shimmered in the bright daylight as she sunned them. She wore a small smile on her face, and why should she not? She'd gone "shopping" this morning.

Danielle saw a figure on one of the bars. She wondered how anyone could get in that specific spot. Curious, she decided to climb up, hoping nobody noticed and marked it as unusual. When she got close to the figure she called out. "Hey! How'd you get here?" She smiled, not wanting to scare the figure off.

Avani snapped her wings out as she shot down, and smiled. She had finally got ahold of the trick, so she swooped down onto the ground. She has always found the Eiffel Tower pretty, and somewhat breathtaking. With a small smile of satisfaction and snapped her wings shut, her beautiful summer-dress ruffling in the wind.

Hallie, a bit startled, opened her eyes and glanced around her. She spotted Danielle quickly, and studied her in an instant. She drew her wings around her body and smiled at her. "I can fly." She said simply.

"That's amazing," Danielle smiled. "Wish I could fly. Stupid scientists." She shrugged, settling into a sitting position. "Oh well. Anyways, I'm Danielle. And you are?"

Hallie grinned, giving Danielle her toothpaste-add worthy smile. "Hallie. Hallie Jones. And I'm guessing you're part cheetah?" She asked, running her hand down the side of her own face where Danielle has her printing.

Avani yawned and drew her wings around herself, shielding the wind, her green eyes shining with the intense light they usually did. She felt lonely; since she had lost Alice, her best friend. Looking up, she saw two shady figures; seemingly talking.

"Pretty much," Danielle shrugged. "A little leopard mixed in." She looked into the distance. "The view here is great. Perfect for a date. Speaking of which, have you seen any cute guys around here?"

Gathering her courage, Avani shot herself in the air, flying towards the two shady figures. "Hi!" She yelled, waving frantically.

Hallie grinned mischievously. "Oh, you have no idea. Lorc and Steven are pretty dang adorable." Hallie tilted her head and smiled out into the distance.

Danielle smiled. "I guess I'll need to check them out. Can't stay single for long." Seeing a figure flying, she waved. "Hey."

Avani glided closer, now seeing their features. She landed next to the one that had said hi, and smiled gingerly.

"Hi!" Hallie called out. She frowned slightly at Avani. Was she just bad at quick take-off, or did she need flying lessons? She wondered. "Do you need some help?"

Avani balanced herself and looked at Hallie. "No." She said, her voice shaky. She was a GOOD flyer secretly, but not much around people.

Danielle smiled sweetly. "Um, I'm Danielle. And this is Hallie." She hoped this wouldn't escalate into an argument over who was better. "And you are?"

"Avani." Avani said and smiled back. Folding her wings back, she turned to Hallie. "Why do you ask?" She asked.

"It looked like you were having trouble. I wouldn't want you to be brutally killed by splattering on the ground." Hallie said, folded her own wings tightly against her back.

Avani dipped her head and settled beside Hallie. She smiled slightly. "I've been a bit unsteady since well, my friend died."

"Oh." Hallie said quietly. She brushed her red hair over her shoulder. "Just remember to use your primaries, okay?"

Avani nodded. "Yeah." Her green eyes sparkled sadly, the light around them tinting her eyes to a lighter greenish.

Hallie's stomach rumbled. "Do you wanna go eat something?" She asked. Her mouth was watering, she was thinking about French Fries again.

Danielle nodded. "What do they have around here for food? I haven't been around this part of the city in a while."

Hallie began to get suspicious. "Avani, how long have you been here?" She asked, narrowing her violet eyes at her. There weren't any clubs that were up and running at the moment, besides the fact there weren't that many mutants to run places like it.

Now Hallie turned to Danielle. She unfurled her wings, ready to take off if threatened. These people could be spies loyal to the scientist.

Avani turned her eyes on Hallie. "Ever since I was 5 years old." She answered. "They trapped me and experimented on me, but the one thing they didn't do was take away my memory."

Hallie proceeded carefully. "How long has it been since you've been out of the lab center?" She asked, now concerned.

"Is there any place that sells alcohol around here? Because you two need to relax. Especially you Hallie. You look like were about to kidnap you or something."

Avani stood up. "Since I was 11 years old." She said, turning to show her the multiple scars leading across her shoulders.

Hallie also stood up, her back facing the inside of the tower. "And how old are you now?" She asked, now getting more frightened and confused.

"I don't believe nor understand either of you." Hallie snapped. "McDonalds and all the clubs shut down when the city was evacuated. Mutants are the only people left, yet you're talking about going to clubs and to McDonalds."

"First of all, there are always clubs. Most are just secret. So my guess it that you weren't invited to any. Which is surprising."

Avani rolled her eyes. "No need to get snappy. Food is easy around here to get." She said, going to the end of the balcony.

"First of all, there aren't any clubs. Most people are under the age of 25, and most don't decide to drink. Especially those who were underage when the city was evacuated, which was everybody." Hallie snarled. "Not to mention that I can tell you are the same age as me, yet you drink already." She spat out.

Avani took a step and then balled her fists. "Stop!" She yelled, her eyes blazing in anger. "The last thing we need is too fight, when we could try to get out of here!" She snarled.

"Hmm, get out of here!" Hallie yelled. She shot up into the air, getting closer to the edge of the dome that came to its top height from the Eiffel Tower. She punched the dome, resounding in a loud bang that she knew both Avani and Danielle would be able to hear. "10 feet thick. Yes, we could definitely get out of here!" She screamed at them.

"Plenty of people under 25 can run a club. Why not drink when your life is at stake and scientists are trying to get to you? Oh, and guys hang out at clubs. Lots of them."

Avani hissed and jumped into the air, her wings snapping out. Right now, she was seething mad, and she didn't to deal with mutants right now. "I have been here longer. I KNOW, stuff that no one else knows." She screamed, and raced off, her flying perfectly steady this time.

"YEAH, BUT WHO DO THE PEOPLE IN THE ALLEGIANCE LISTEN TO?" Hallie yelled as Avani flew off. She gingerly lowered herself to the ground, seething as she hit the balcony.

Avani landed next to the lake and snapped her wings shut. She sat on the small beach her eyes sad, her anger melting away. She started to cry, her body shaking, as the sobs raked her body.
