I finished reading several days ago and here are my final thoughts. And I'm more than willing to discuss with you the book as you read it :)

I'm in love with the characters and the story. I didn't want it to turn out with Lou loosing Will. Till the very end I wanted miracle to happen. But I think this is not that kind of story with the happy ever after and the actual ending was the only one logical.
My favourite part of the story was how Will helped Lou to find herself in the life, enjoy it, appreciate it. And how Lou helped Will through enjoying her life to live more happy, to fill the joy, to be loved till the very end.
Oh and the final scene in France in that cafe... So iconic!

(view spoiler)[I really didn't like most of the characters , I didn't like them to a 100% , I hated Will to a 50% so techinnaly Will was my favorite character, I will not be continuing the series infact I would have preferred this book series to a standalone actually (hide spoiler)]

@Joy It's so sad you didn't enjoy reading. I felt the opposite way about all the characters and loved the story. But I do understand why you don't like it and actually it's great that we have different opinions on the story. Though I agree with you about the series part. I prefer not to read the next book and pretend it's a stand-alone. I just think the next one will be not so good. There are stories which are better as stand-alones, not the series.

(view spoiler)[ I really like hearing his mother's POV. I think it adds a lot more depth to hear form someone who really knows him since Lou has only known him since the accident. I really dislike his sister. I understand that this can't be easy for anyone, but to call him selfish is so hypocritical. (hide spoiler)]

I had the same opinion on his sister while reading. But I do understand her in some ways too. It's really hard not to freak out when your relative, so full of life before, goes through extreme hardships. Sometimes you just don't know what to do and totally mess up with all the situation.

But then she couldn't take a break from Australia to spend some time with him. I didn't think that was kind at all. (hide spoiler)]
