I thought this book was great...till the end. The climax battle was great. Till the way he defeated Galbatorix. And then the resolution after the climax was dragged out too long. BUT, that being said, I did love this series. Roran was my favourite. :)
It was good, in my opinion. The ending was kind of not great, though. I mean... There was absolutely no way he could have stayed? No way? And there was no way Arya could have gone with him? Honestly...

He basically just wrecked all his characters' lives and ended the book. haha
I know!
He was just like, there. Everyone's happy. Now let's screw all their lives up one last time.

Basically. See, I don't mind endings where people don't end up happy if there's a reason for it. But this just seemed...sad. :( But I really did like the series overall! It's just the ending spoiled it a bit.
I know... No one was happy. He should've just ended it earlier, when everyone was still happy, or something... Even if there were still a few loose ends.
Hm. Yeah, it's hard to say what an author should do. I'm sure there was someone who liked the ending he wrote...
I loved this series. One of the many fantasy books that makes me love the genre so much. You can always appreciate good 'world building'

Long months of training and battle have brought victories and hope, but they have also brought heartbreaking loss. And still, the real battle lies ahead: they must confront Galbatorix. When they do, they will have to be strong enough to defeat him. And if they cannot, no one can. There will be no second chances.
The Rider and his dragon have come further than anyone dared to hope. But can they topple the evil king and restore justice to Alagaësia? And if so, at what cost?
