Beta Reader Question

Are beta readers only interested in reading completed work? Sometimes a writer needs early feedback to correct storyline issues that may affect events in the last portion. Is there a different group for incomplete book tweaks? What is the consensus?

Most beta readers will read whatever you need to have looked at. I am not available for more beta reading just now, but I will read a short story, a chapter or few or the whole book. I concentrate on mystery, crime, romance and some children's books (short with piccies!)I am useless with most other genres.
