AN Insider's Guide to Creative Writing Programs question

Has anyone taken or is taking a writing course? I have a BA in English and Fine Arts and am seriously considering an MFA (Low Residency) in Writing. I have written an animated screenplay for children already that I received very high praise for, but the school was too expensive. My doctor also did not want me to continue. However, I am thinking of taking one class at a time to motivate me to write more.

Any thoughts?
