What do you like most in groups??

Okay, this is really important for you all to answer to! What do you enjoy most in a group - the discussion, BOTM, challenges or games??? And why?

Discussions are must, it is mostly what make the members involved in group activities.
BOTMs, challenges and Trivia are also important. Since this is a genre based group, would love to have romance books as BOTMs.
Games are fun plus keep the group active. Not that we want to discuss serious stuffs all the time and that's why games are necessary.

Plus there could be competitions, debates and likewise things.

discussions, BOTMs, challenges, games etc are the ingredients of a perfect & complete group.. botms & discussions about buks help us in exploring new authors & genres.. same thing with challenges.. i 've read some amazing buks thru challenges which I wudn't have read otherwise... games r real fun & keeps the group active....

but above all, v need to have active people in the group... n I really hope v have some great people here... looking forward to having fun here

@Misha and @Vinny : Thanks guys! I'm gonna go ahead with challenges and introduce more discussions as and when things get a little settled here and we have a few more members. I'm hoping members will be active....I'm also thinking of having competitions but of what??? I'm still to decide whether or not to have Buddy Reads and Debates....and what exactly is Trivia??? I've seen it in groups and have't exactly got it...and welcome Misha!

Um competitions could be about say writing, photography, and even debates.
Trivia is connected to BOTMs. You make threads for the books each month and ask questions from that book. Members will answer the questions..and if you involve points for right answers it can in fact be a sort of competition.

I like the book discussions, BOTMs and the challenges. I am really out to find the next great read so I love to see what people are reading and how much they liked it. I am not much into the games. I know everyone else loves the games.

I get you, Daria. At one point, I used to tackle half a dozen challenges every month. Nowadays, I've become bored of it. I don't even read half as much as before. I think part of my problem is that lately I don't find a lot of books that catch my interest. I seem to have read most of the good books already.

Reading Daria’s and your message between the lines, I have suggested in some of the other forums that on the lines of Group Book Reads and Book of the month, it would be very helpful for new Authors if a topic focuses on "Books by New Authors"

The group can select or comment on books written by "Not so famous authors".

This would also readers to check out new types of stories and writing styles.

Disclaimer: I have a vested interest, and am looking for readers for my book, which according to some, is well written. 😊😉
