Pass The Parcel : Round 5 - Q&A/Announcements
Thanks for the early post, Jane! :DI have a question...for the Goodreads Choice Awards, can we only use the winner in the romance category, or are all of the nominees available?
Hi Jane!Question for you, if I used a teammates book in the past for option 2, can I use it again for another week and read the next one in the series?

I've done that - so I sure hope it is ok!
Does the series rule apply for the Lists? I've read the first book and would like to read the 2nd but only the first book is on one of those lists. I know we do this for Option 2 but I wanted to make sure it's okay for these Mandatory Lists if going with option 1.
I'm not feeling really hopeful - it says the book must come from the list. But it can't hurt to ask!
hi Jane, i was wondering is it okay to pick a nominee for any of the other lists, or is that exclusivity for the Goodreads choice awards list.

Hi everyone - I'm having dinner - will answer the questions in an hour.Briefly - yes, you can use the series rule for option 2, regardless of whether you have previously used it.
You can use the series rule on option 1.
I'll read these questions in more detail in about an hour...
If you need to make a decision before Jane can get back to this, I would take the safe path and assume that if it isn't on the list you need to find another book or go with Option 2. Fortunately for me, I can use the same book for Option 2 - made it easy!
I should specify that the series ruling on option 1 will only apply for this week since I recognise that a lot of you will have already read many of the books on the winning and nominees lists.

The nominees are for the GR Choice Awards are all shown below the single winner. I don't see nominees on the other lists, so unless the nominees are already included on those lists, you can't go to a different page (off list) to find other possible books.

Just a reminder that I am still travelling, and will be through to the end of this challenge.I only have internet on wifi when I'm in my hotel or an airport. I fly back to Australia this afternoon which means I'm out of range pretty from 7.00pm through to sometime Monday night. I will then be out of range for a lot of the time but will try to check in daily. If the Internet is really bad, I will hand over the final theme call on Friday to another mod.
Enjoy these last couple of themes!
Quick question before you are completely gone - for the last week, Option 2 will not be with our team but one you pair us with, but will the series rule and same 6 month period still be in effect? At least I hope you aren't completely gone!
Hi Kat - the series rule will still apply if option 2 is selected in the last week. As you say, I will be shuffling the teams from which option 2 can be selected for that last week.I'll prob be on line for another 2 hours. ... Just realised the flight is 17 hours - urgh!!
Yeah, I remember the 17 hours from when two of my kids went to Australia. My son was in the Olympic Band so he was there for a couple weeks in 2000. And my daughter spent about two months there, traveling around, in 2003/2004. But the air time was what stood out to me!
From Bris to LA it's only 13-14 hours. That extra 3 hours are going to be killers!! And then I have to turn around a catch a domestic flight to Melbourne ~ another 1.5 hours...
hi everyone - i am here! Sorry for the huge delay - i had to get to a location with internet connectivity! Theme will be up soon, along with the option 2 team allocaations :)

Jane, just a clarification- under the lists it says "or any MM romance book" and then below that it says you have to pick from the lists. Are the lists for non-MM titles, but any MM that meets the minimum page count works?

That is correct. Since all MM books are told from the male POV, there is clearly no list for this, so they all have to be fair game.
Remember - no passes allowed this week :)In the event that I am asleep and a team wins, one of the other mods may announce the winner!
