Ann (annhunter) | 19 comments I asked this on the librarian group and was directed to this group.

I have several books and I was wondering if there was a way to control which ones show up on your home page. I'm not talking about author dashboard (although they are listed under the mini AD on the main page), but the first page you see when you log in to GR. It's on the right hand corner.
Also is there a reason it doesn't list all of your books instead of just one?
For the longest time it was showing my first book, but it never showed my second, and then I got the other 3 up, and it switched over to the latest one.

I'd like to at least be able to see my first or second that have covers and track added reads.

Unfortunately, there isn’t currently a way to manually change the featured book showing under the “Author Dashboard” section on your homepage. Currently, it's set to show your newest listing. If it helps, you're the only person who ever sees that particular view-- your readers can see all of your books from your author page, and you can see all of your books' stats on your author dashboard.

Then why didn't it show Moonlight when I created it several weeks ago? It kept showing my first published book. I thought maybe once Moonlight went live it would update, but instead it skipped ahead to a book I don't have out til January '15.

As an author, this is a feature I'd love to see integrated into Goodreads-- where you can pick and choose any number of books to view on your home page.

Alex (ucbstirling) | 140 comments Hmm-- you're absolutely right-- that bit is from our help documentation relating to the featured book on author's home pages and it doesn't seem to tell the whole story. I'll pass along the feedback, and we'll take your suggestion into account as we look towards improving the author experience on the site.

In the meantime, many authors treat the Author Dashboard as their "author" home page, and the main home page as their "reader" home page-- which is the way that the current design (admittedly a bit out-dated) was envisioned.
