The Sea Breeze series by Abbi Glines. Oh my lord. Those books are amazing. Every time I finish the fourth one, I turn around and re read the series again! These books make me weak in the knees. I've fallen in love with one of the characters who's book hasn't even come out yet. Dewayne my man! I've probably read the series 11 times, no joke. They're perfect.

Oh I reread my books all the time. My friends think I'm crazy. I've ready the harry potter series from start to finish 7 or 8 times, twilight 4 or 5 times, same for the mortal instruments series. It's like catching up with an old friend !

Ha! So, I'm not crazy, or at least, not alone in my craziness!!
Posting this this morning sent me scurrying for my Robin Hobb's books. HOW could I mot mention how often I've read the Far Seer Trilogy, or the Liveship Traders Trilogy?
Shared SkiesYou see... this is what happens. Now, I've spent the day wondering- what is it exactly that makes us re-read a particular book? After all I've read tons of books that I LOVE, that I've recommended madly BUT I wouldn't read them again. So what is it?

I've read the Chaos Walking Trilogy about 10 times now. I usually read a book when I start feel what I call 'home sick' (my home being in whatever book..I have lots of 'homes')

I usually read a book when I start feel what I call 'home sick' (my home being in whatever book..I have lots of 'homes')I suppose we can use that analogy. When we're away from a place that makes us feel good or that we are attached too, we start to get homesick. Same thing with a beloved book

Okay, I have to confess, I have read The Hunger Games, Book One at least seven times, and I still dip in and out of it!
Every time I'm struck by the detail and originality, I LOVE it. I have read all the others, but only once.
Then there's the Harry Potter question! Every time a new book was released, I had to go read all the preceding ones again first! I thought I was safe from that, but did I hear a rumour that J.K Rowling was thinking of revisiting our hero? If so, I'd better get reading.
Any one else have a favourite book to read and read and read...?
