You have to make sure that you've added the book to your shelf that you created for 'the chase', so when you shelve the book as 'read' you also shelve it as 'the chase'. You also need to set the date finished ☺

Hi Lesley, we do some read-to-reviews in the group here - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group... where you can sign-up to get free review copies of books, and other groups do similar things. One of the main places to recieve review copies and ARCs from is www.netgalley.com - it's free to sign-up, and there are some books on there that are listed as 'read-now' which means that you don't have to wait for publisher approval to download them.
Does that help? feel free to ask any other questions you may have ☺

First you have to join the Goodreads Feedback Group here - https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/1
because the challenge thing is still in beta testing (even though its been in testing since 2012)
then, go to the group you moderate, and on the right hand side, under
'group home'
'bookshelf'
'discussions'
should be...
'create challenge' ☺
It's fairly easy to work out once you click that ☺

Go to "My books" then go to where your shelves are in the left hand corner. It will say "bookshelves" at the top, and next to it will be "edit" Click that, and then press the cross on the left on whatever shelf you want to delete :)

standard image tag (missing < & >): img src="http://www.goodreads.com/image..." width="40" height="100" alt="description"/
You have to upload the picture somewhere online first, then use its URL that way. I usually use photobucket.com but you can also use a picture uploaded as a photo on your goodreads account ☺

@Irene I have joined Goodreads Feedback Group, where do you think I should request a reset for my reviews? Will I have to to make a new thread for it? So sorry to bother you
On a PC, on the 'Home' page, on the right hand side of the page where it lists which books you are reading, you should see a little link, underneath your books, which says 'add a general update' - click that, and you can do a status update seperate from your books ☺
I'm not really sure, I find that chatting to people and discussing books, reading other people's reviews etc, is the way to get more friends/followers ☺ It also makes Goodreads a lot more fun ☺

Is it possible that publishers or who ever chooses, could choose me on goodreads? Like based off of my reviews on goodreads? Or do they not do that on goodreads?

I've known some small publishers to message people based off Goodreads reviews, but not larger publishers.

You click the little link on the bottom right of the comment which says 'reply', and then post a comment as usual ☺
Go to the shelf, and click 'batch edit' at the top of the page, then select which books you want to remove, and then click 'remove books' - I think that should do it ☺
Probably not, I'm not sure you can batch delete books from your shelves completely, you can only remove them from a certain shelf.

You use the image tag. You know , < img src="link " > (Avoid the spaces in between the tags though) Copy the gif link from the browser, but it has to end with .gif else the tag doesnt work. Like, http://www.abcdef.com/image.gif

Hi Olga, if you want to join a buddy read, just comment on the thread to say that you are joining, and then start reading (on or around the start date) and leave your thoughts on the thread using spoiler tags where necessary ( < spoiler > without the spaces ) ☺

And post a book and if you want a time frame for when you want to start the book and wait for someone to comment saying they also want to read the book. :)

First of all it should be noted you CANNOT do this on the APP. Only DESKTOP.
Second above the chat box your will see two blue links. Click the one that says add book/author
Go the the bottom of the pop up box and click cover instead of link.
Type in the book you want to read like HP and click add.
I find that the site misbehaves when I use it on chrome through my phone. Even though I'm on the internet site rather than the app, the 'post' button for posting comments disappears unless I press enter twice!
Don't worry too much about posting the cover, you can just type out the book's title when you post your review ☺ It's more important to get the information down than it is to post the cover ☺
