The lovely Miss Giovanni has accommodated our little group by obliging us with a short interview. I hope everyone enjoys!
Question #1. Love exactly has consistently earned some great ratings and reviews since its publication. Has the support and positive feedback from your audience influenced your writing?
-Thanks for having me. Support and positive feedback is always a great thing, but I don't feel like it's influenced my writing all that much. When I write, I write because I love it, and I fully understand that some may not like my writing style. From the reviews you can see it goes one way or the other. I've struggled in my genre because I do not write steamy erotica, my books are very tame and many expect 50 Shades. I just keep writing, because I love it, and I do love to see it when others love it as well.
Question #2. In Love Exactly, which scene did you stress over the most, or have doubts about?
The sex scenes. I really wanted to keep it to what I was comfortable with, and I didn't want to merge over into Erotica in any way. I like to keep it clean, so finding a good stopping point can sometimes be hard.
Question #3. Emma’s character was so authentic and down to earth, however, Evan was also relatable (despite his rock star status). Did you have any specific inspirations for these characters?
Emma is a lot like myself and has experienced some of the things I have, though to what extent I will not say. I realized at the end of it, that I'd kind of written my husband and I!
Bonus Question: If you were a pirate, what would your pirate name be?
