Help! I'm a goodreads author and just accidently and idiotically combined all four of my book titles under one title. I don't know how to undo this. The titles are Promised Lands, The Night Journal, The Raven's Bride and Monday, Monday--and now they all appear as separate editions under the single title The Night Journal. I'm yanking my hair out trying to fix this! How can I un-combine?

I've got them separated. It will take a bit for them to show up properly on your author page, there is a cache delay.
You're a genius if you've done this so quickly! I've been trying for hours and hounding every goodreads author I know. None of us could figure it out. Huge gratitude. Elizabeth Crook.

Honestly it is rare for me to go more than a month without having to separate editions for an author, so you're not alone.
Thanks. I felt like such a knucklehead! Was really proud of myself for navigating well enough to sign up as a goodreads author, and then WHAM-O. Twenty five years of writing slapped into one title! I really appreciate the prompt help--would have tossed and turned all night. Elizabeth
Amanda, I've checked in and the books are beautifully separated, with one small glitch. Some of the Monday, Monday reviews are still showing up on the Night Journal page. They're also with Monday Monday where they should be, but they're repeated with The Night Journal. In other words; Promised Lands, The Raven's Bride and Monday Monday are exactly as they should be. Nothing needs to be added or changed. The Night Journal also has all of its reviews intact and on the correct page, but it also has some from Monday Monday (you can see these if you look at the reviews by "newest first"--you'll see a couple for Monday Monday.) I don't want to risk losing them on the mOnday Monday page because the book is just coming out and they're good reviews! but they should probably be moved out of the Night jOurnal page.Or maybe this is just because the old cache is still in place on that page?
Most likely a cache issue. It can take up to 72 hours for everything to straighten itself out, though it usually only takes about 24 hours.
I'm an author and a librarian, and have mistakenly combined all editions of 2 of my books. Can someone not just separate the titles for me but EXPLAIN how to do it? When I hit "separate", it just sends me back to the home page. Thanks!
That's the way, so maybe if it doesn't work for you it means that authors can't do that (authors don't have all the librarians tools and permissions). However, your books should be ok now
I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one that has made this mistake! Misery loves company and all!I would appreciate my books being separated. I accidentally combined Dragons' Mate with A Saint's Salvation.
I'm never touching the combine button again!

Done. Might take a bit for everything to appear correctly (cache can take a bit to resolve).
Please help! I accidentally combined my two books, Alexander Ranch and Into Thin Air. I was trying to combine the ebook and paper editions and somehow combined them all. After trying for a while to separate them, I went searching for help and found this page saying that a librarian had to do it.Help!! Thanks in advance!
I just accidentally combined about 73 of my books under a single title (LOKI). Clearly I had no idea what I was doing. Is it possible to have them separated again?
ok robert, i've separated everything and recombined as best i can. some of these are comics, i take it? i couldn't tell if certain editions were single issues versus omnibuses. it is goodreads policy to separate works in such cases, so if you spot any editions have been wrongly grouped together, please post them here to be separated again. unforunately, separating editions is NOT something an author can do.
Good morning, I just (stupidly) combined all of my volumes in The Sanctum Trilogy, instead of having separate entries for The Girl and The Boy. Could you please help me separate them? Thanks so very much.
Help! I'm a goodreads author and just accidentally and idiotically combined all four of my book titles under one title. I don't know how to undo this. The titles are New Kingdom: Creatures of Habit, Captain Hawklin and the Skyhook Pirates, In Memory Alone, Crossroads of the World, Tales of the Lost Empire, The Long Twilight, Dark Frontier Saga and Storm Crossing. They all appear as separate editions under the single title In Memory Alone 9I think) I'm pulling my hair out (not that I have any) trying to fix this! How can I un-combine? HELP!! PLEASE...
Charles wrote: "Help! I'm a goodreads author and just accidentally and idiotically combined all four of my book titles under one title. I don't know how to undo this. Thanks Amanda... Looks like I'm not the only one that does this. I'll try not to do something stupid like that for at least a week.

The books are back on my profile page... Thanks Amanda!
Help! I have just done the same! Three books worked fine - the rest are now all lumped under "Katy Carter Wants a Hero". Just paid for a Goodreads ad too. The separate function isn't working, it just takes me to a home page. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help!
Oh wow! You are a wonderful librarian! Thank you so much! I will never touch that combine button again! Thank you xx
I too have done the same. The Coffee Shop and The Promise and been all mushed together. Thank you for any help to undo this. And sorry for the trouble.
Ha, I joined the Brain in Box group just now. Several of my books ended up under The Vanderbilt Women. I hit the Separate on one, but nothing happened. I appreciate the was Goodreads has made queries so easy.
I've also inadvertently combined all editions of my books, Brazil, and Riding the Rails: Teenagers on the Move During the Great Depression.I've just published a new edition of Riding the Rails (ISBN 0692302115 T.E. Winter & Sons) and wanted to make this the default edition before listing a Giveaway...
Hit the "combine button" to streamline existing and...oops!
Any help in separating the books will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance - Errol

Thanks so much!
Amanda, I've also just accidentally combined two of my works. Counterclockwise and Prometheus Stumbles. Would you be about to help me? https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

Amanda, I did the same thing as Charles, six years later. Can you help me separate my books?

Can you separate my books? I combined Indirect Objects with Personal Pronouns.
