Rasco and the Rats of NIMH question

Dear good reads users I have a question concerning Jane Leslie Conlys involvement with the MGM Secret of Nimh 2 movie sequel. What did Jane Leslie Conly think about when she saw the 1998 Nimh 2 movie cartoon adaptation?

Did she like it or was she upset at the changes Paul Sabella made from MGM, from her book Rasco and Rats of Nimh 2?
I need to know because I can't find any Internet articles on Jane Leslie Conlys reaction on the Nimh 2 sequel adaptation. Also Jane Leslie Conly wasn't in the Nimh 2 movie credits at all.

Also why was the movie completely different from the book? Is this similar to Lloyd Alexanders Black Cauldron cartoon movie adaptation? Also why didn't MGM try to do a cartoon involving Rasco and the Sabotage at breaking the dam? Why did the MGM company focus on making a musical and had Martin have mental health issues or trying to take over Thorn Valley?

Also since when did extra characters like Jenny the mouse or Cecil the caterpillar, or 2 cats Floyd and Helen, Killer the watchdog and Dr. Valentine appear? I don't remember them mentioned in the Nimh 2 book.

Please let me know because I'm confused about the Nimh 2 cartoon movie adaptation.
