They had been in sea for very long, longer than they would prefer. And they didn't have any supplies to keep them any longer in the boat.

She was probably typing fast. Who cares. I think it can be because they were desperate for supplies OR it was enchanted, or it could be because they were desperate for supplies AND the place was enchanted. Guess I'll just have to reread that part xD

If it wasn't enchanted then they would be a bit stupid to just go into a spa in the middle of the sea of monsters just because they need supplies. So, I think the only explanation is that they weren't thinking straight because of an enchantment.
I also totally think that the spa was a trap! I mean, shouldn't they have noticed how strange it was that there were a bunch of animals there? I thought the whole thing was weird.
I think they were very tired with clouded judgement, so they thought it would be nice to sit back for a minute and get pampered. But the ship was enchanted so thats like +300 temptation.

When I said this to my sister she said that they (Percy and Annabeth) would be sort of wrecked as people if they couldn't trust ANYONE. But then I reminded her that the spa was in the middle of the sea of monsters and she agreed with me.
So yeah, Percy and Annabeth, although experienced with traps, went into a spa (which was not necessary) in the middle of the sea of monsters!!! I think that was pretty stupid of them, and Percy did end up almost becoming a guinea pig forever in there! Please comment if you have a reason for why they might have done this, or if you have anything else to say about this part of the book. Thanks!
