"Terry Andrews" is the pseudonym of children's author George Selden, known primarily for the classic The Cricket in Times Square and its sequels. The Story of Harold is decidedly not a children's book; although its protagonist is a noted children's author—like Selden himself—he is also a bisexual, sadomasochistic libertine in freewheeling late-'60s Greenwich Village.
As far as I know, this is the only book Selden published pseudonymously, and the only non-children's book. It is a very rewarding read that is worth seeking out.
