L.D. Beyer (ldbeyer) | 4 comments Hi. I'm the author of In Sheep's Clothing. I'd like to find out what genre my book is classified as and edit information on the book like adding characters and information showing that this book is the 1st part of a series (Matthew Richter Thriller Series Book 1; An Eye for An Eye is part 2). How do I go about doing this? Thanks!

amaldae (staticatku) | 593 comments Series can only be created and edited by Librarians, which I have now done. However, as the Author, you can edit most other book info (your own books only) by licking the little grayed-out edot button on the book's page.
I recommend you read any relevant section of the Librarian Manual before making changes there. :)

Here on Goodreads, genre data is crowdsourced. You can shelve your books under the correct genres on your profile and hope others will follow suit ;-) (It takes two shelvings for a book to show under any genre.)

Laura McClure (goodreadscomlmcclure) | 2 comments My Pen name for writing my books is Laura McClure
I do not write under the pen name Laura K McClure
I also have a book that is listed to me of which it is not my book.
I do want to correct that, but I cannot find the book
I will give the name of the book as soon as I locate it
I have published only two books. They are
Angel in the Mist by Laura McClure
It Ain't Over Yet It's Just Beginning by Laura McClure

Bea Laurelia, next time please start a new thread as your subject did not match the title of this thread and thus could have been overlooked.

I removed the extra book from your author page. As you have the same name as other authors, their books may fall onto your page when added. Just let the librarians know when this happens and we will move the unwanted book.

I have removed the cross-references to both profiles.

If you like, you can claim your author profile by clicking the 'Is this you? Let us know' link: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

After approval, your user account will be merged with your author profile.

K.D. Dowdall (goodreadskddowdall) | 22 comments The second edition of my book Delphi Altair Strange Beginnings, that is no longer in print or ebook form, is highlighted in a way that suggests that I am an author with no available books. This is misleading to say the least. My third edition is very available and listed on Amazon and elseware on Goodreads, but not on my "homepage". This is not at all helpful. I would appreciate so much if my 3rd edition replaces the no-longer-available second edition. Please advise and thank you. Sincerely, K. D. Demers Dowdall

Abcdarian | 26579 comments Please give a link to your 3rd edition on Goodreads; I can't locate one off your profile page.

Also, please start a new thread for your requests in future; you are very off-topic in this one and could have been missed altogether.

Fairywitch | 20 comments Hi, I'm a new GR librarian :)
After adding a new book - how do I add its genres?

message 9: by lethe (new)

lethe | 16363 comments Hi, Fairywitch :)

Genres are crowdsourced, added by users. You don't have to do anything, unless you want to add the book to your own shelves.
