Different Author, same name

As the fantasy author (Jake Adler), there is another author that has recently appeared with the same name as me, and their books are being added to my author book listings by mistake. I only author fantasy books, please can you remove this book https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Done. The way GR does it is to add different spaces between first and last name, I moved the other book under the profile Jake^^Adler (two spaces) so it's gone from your books. It may happen again because you're the default profile and so all Jake Adler books are automatically added to you, if it happens just post in this group. It's useless to add a note because librarians only see them when they're on the edit book page, and they're unlikely to try and edit your book in the first place unless they've been alerted that there's a mistake to fix. :)

Thanks so very much Ren, I really appreciate your help, plus taking the time to explain how it can be resolved if it happens again. I sometimes wonder why people just use the same name as another existing author, with pen names or middle initials, there are so many options, and Jake Adler isn't that common a name, so the options would be many to make it distinct. The problem is that I can't add the books to my author profile because I have the same name as another "John Cassian" -- so his author profile got credit for my books. John, I've moved the books to your profile. For future reference, your author name is John^^Cassian (where each ^ represents a space between your first and your last name).

I just joined Goodreads as an author and I have 3 books that are being attributed as mine but I have had nothing to do with. I would like to have them removed so that I am not taking credit where it is not due. How do I do that? Thank you!

It gets confusing when a thread linked to a specific book or author is also used for other books. I am closing this thread. Start new ones for other books.
