avery joy | 624 comments I really don't know what to do...I'm in a mini reading slump with Restorer... Hmmm.

Jess (AKA shortstuff) (shortstuff83) You could try reading a book that you really badly want to read then go back to The Restorer (if you haven't finished it)

message 22: by ❄Elsa Frost❄ (new)

❄Elsa Frost❄ (elsafrost) I found a book which fits this challenge! I've been meaning to read Rebel Belle for a long time now (I even returned and re-rented it about three times now! >_<), but hey! Why not read it for this challenge! :D

So I'll be reading it for this challenge. I just need to finish a couple books first... which I have to return tomorrow. So, it'll be a while.

Jess (AKA shortstuff) (shortstuff83) I've finished Red Queen and completed the August challenge. It was really good! You can read my review of it if you want, but beware, there are spoilers!!

message 35: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) Here is a list of books that start with R
River of Time series (I say that name of a series counts!)
Reached (third book in the Matched trilogy)
Raiders from the Sea (AMAZING first book of an AMAZING series!)
Revelations (books from the Bible count)
Robinson Crusoe
Rocky Mountain Memories (a series)

I hope that list helps.

message 48: by Nicole (new)

Nicole F (nikkifet) redeeming love is always a good reread ;)

message 49: by Kristin (new)

Kristin Spencer (kristinnspencer) | 25 comments Yay Nicole is here :) that is a good recommendation.

I finished "Realer Than Real" today and will be writing a review for it later. I thought it was good, but heartbreaking and also challenging. Plus the proceeds of the book go towards helping his sister in her recovery of a brain injury.

message 50: by Kristin (new)

Kristin Spencer (kristinnspencer) | 25 comments Ok, here is my review (there are no spoilers)...
Realer Than Real
This transparent account of a family entirely dependent on God's grace is heartfelt and refreshing. I wept tears of sadness and tears of joy. The author doesn't shy away from his mistakes, fears, or weaknesses, but embraces them in the light of God's everlasting and unconditional love. This book is also extremely well written. I didn't find even one typo (which is rare). It will stir your heart and encourage you to be more like Jesus.

Seriously this is a tear jerker! I cried quite a bit, and I'm not a crier. If you have a lost a loved one, his testimony will really resonate with you.
