Part 1, Chap 1 - The Age of the One Moon

I am intrigued by the beginning. I already had to look up information ( had no idea what UTC was, duh right?). I already love the scientific tone of it and the little bit of vicarious fear I feel about the moon.
From the opening line, this is how you start a book. Right now I love how each paragraph ends with a really clever line that is both a realization of the situation and funny. Each paragraph just has a nice little bow at the end of it.The science writing is also quite entertaining.
Okay guys! I'm actually on it with this one and I have started it before the middle of the month for once so I'm not rushing through it, however, with that said I kind of want to rush through it because I am really enjoying it!
Before reading this I literally didn't know what it was about. I don't like to read the blurb for books too often as sometimes it reveals more than I like to know so all I knew was that it was a sci-fi. I am so glad that that's how I went into it because I knew nothing about the moon being blown up/exploding and the troubles that the population would end up considering.
On the whole a great beginning which promises a lot to come, and I have to say reading on my kindle is fab as it means I can just use the dictionary function if I am confused. However, so far I've been pretty happy with the 'level' of space-stuff and not too confused or anything really!

I got started on this one today. I'm listening to it on audio (the narrator seems to be really good so far, although I think I'll get a new narrator for each part as more than one is listed.) I like it right now. The concept is cool, and I really want to learn how humanity deals with the moon blowing up.
