Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. I do appreciate them. I actually did some exercise today, for the first time in weeks and weeks. (I'm so sick of this thing. Ugh.) I didn't quite make it to 30 minutes of cardiovascular, but I did do 23 minutes. Gotta get my breath/strength back.

Member Choosing: I, Lisa Kay , have been a GoodReads member since June, 2009, and a participant of Happily Ever After Café since February, 2011. I’ve been missing my mom a lot lately, and August is her birthday month. So, I’m going to take over this challenge and focus on things she loved.

(5) A Good Horse Race: Mom loved a good horse race. Read a book featuring a race of any kind.
ITEMS: August’s Birthstones are sardonyx, peridot. Its flowers are gladiolus and poppy. Zodiac Signs are Leo - the Lion - or Virgo - the Virgin.
