Oh, I'll upload pics when I have the time. I never really use my nice bookmarks - typically I use like old receipts, a stub of paper, anything lying around basically, lol.But I have a bookmark that I treasure above everything. My brother it for me at school, when he was about 8 years old, because he knew how much I loved reading. <3
The other one I requested from a friend who draws really nicely, so I asked her to make me a bookmark with one of her characters and then I laminated it.
Pictures to come :)
I'm excited to see your pictures. I can't remember where I got mine from. I've had it for years. How come you don't use your bookmarks?
I don't know. They're never just around like other things are, hehe. Also I'm a scatter brain. I leave things, walk away with the book, and oh, I need a bookmark! It's just easier to grab things I can toss and not care about. Also with the one my brother gave me I'm afraid to lose it :)
My sister is like that. She is famous fro chewing gum wrappers in her books. My mum lost a bookmark a bought her once. I still haven't forgiven her. That was like 10 years ago......
My bookmark... This was a present from my friend / next door neighbour. It's a cord with beads on it (in case you can't see from the photo). When not in use, I drape it over one of the house plants, so it doubles as decoration.I only use it when I'm very organised, otherwise, I just grab a bus ticket or whatever I can find (or I memorise the page number). I often use an e-reader nowadays, which is quite handy for notes / bookmarks.
I don't seem to have any proper bookmarks... I have a lottery ticket stub showing I did once win the lottery (for £6 :P) and a number of receipts.
