Western world, yes! For example, people often talk about the Eastern Commonwealth from The Lunar Chronicles because it's made of many Asian countries.

Umm... this phrasing for that topic is wonderful. "Top 5 books not worth the paper they were printed on" is probably a little too harsh. Of course I'd probably end up choosing to use textbooks as coasters.
