Wonder how those anti-radiation pills survived hundreds and hundreds of years passed their shelf life?
Some good quotes in this book. I particularly liked Raith's -
"Life's a queue of small irritations with the Last Door at the end." (talking about his itching beard during battle
"That's the problem with making yourself hard. Once you crack, there's no putting yourself back together."

My favorite part of this section was when they were poking about the ruins of Strokom. Still wondering what the elf bangles were.
Also still waiting to read about the battle between Thorn and Yilling because you know that has to happen.
Oh, and I'm predicting Grom will die, too, because Skara just can't marry him. Yuck!

I am still very curious about the "elf" ruins, but I'm glad we've gotten at least a LITTLE more information.

Also, I'm about the read the last section but wanted to make a prediction first. I have a feeling Mother Scaer will go crazy with the elf weapons and kill Grom.

Also agree that Gorm will die, just not sure how. Scaer killing him would be fairly interesting; I thought it was going to be when they went to blow up the mine but Rakki ate it instead
Blue Jenner and Raith have formed a nice little friendship, I like reading those parts. He's probably my favorite POV so far but, really, they've all been interesting. Haven't felt bored at all and am just zooming through this
I'm really hoping Yarvi has some kind of plan other than kill everyone with these "relics." Seems he's been a step behind in this book rather than a step ahead like the last one
Another section, another RIP. Sleep well, Uthil. Poor weaponluck indeed

I really want to know more about the elf ruins. It sure seems like is post apocalyptic earth. I was hoping for some more hints when they were walking through them.
