I have just finished rereading the fever series. I don't know if I just have missed this key part or if it never revealed.....What is Barrons? I still can't figure it out.

Also, I have not read Iced yet. Is it a good read?

Barron's and the 8 1/2 are cursed mercenaries for hire. They decided to go beyond their original mercenary cause of pillaging for a cause and started pillaging for the hell of it and were cursed by, I believe, a Goddess. And they can die. They are just continually resurrected.

KMM has never explained what Barrons & the 8 are in the books. She explains briefly, how they became what they became. And what they were before they became what they became. But it's never been said What they are now, exactly. No name or definition has ever been given. And maybe that's the point. Cos what do you call something that is beast like, with unlimited strength/power, in every other aspect appears to be a man but does not age & can never truly die? Well, unless he is Krvucked.. (made to be no more) LOL

I'm kinda digging the mystery behind that though. maybe we will finally know when she decides to truly end the series, but for now I'm enjoying that there is still major mystery surrounding Barrons & the 8.
