In this game, one person will name a book (and since this a historical fiction group, let's challenge ourselves to name historical books and/or classics). Let's say I name Little Women. The next person will pick one word from the title and pick a new title that contains the given word, for example Little House on the Prairie. The next person will repeat the process, so maybe the word you pick out is "house," and your new title is In My Father's House.
Small changes in a word's spelling such as pluralizing or changing tense is perfectly fine, but try not to change a word's part of speech. Also, try not to use articles as the word in common between titles.
I'll start with Before We Were Free.
