My biggest pet peeve is when an author makes their review request sound like an advertisement. "I will even give you a FREE copy...." Opposed to making me pay to read and review? Drives me crazy. It also drives me crazy when authors don't follow my review requirements. I'm not going to respond if they just tweeted "Hey, can you read my book?"Most of the authors I work with are completely courteous and follow my request guidelines fairly well but now and then there are a couple of oddballs that make me want to scream.
