Sathya Prakash Moparthi (sathyamoparthi) | 3 comments I have heard about a book from my uncle and unfortunately he failed to remember the name. The story line is something like following

There is a newspaper agency which was run by a family of descendants. It was now passed to the lead character by his father on his death bed. In a very short span the circulation increases exponentially, all because of the speed they print sensitive news which other papers don't have knowledge until later. there comes hero who happens to be the journalist working for this Newspaper and is pretty pissed off because he can't understand where the hell is editor getting these reports soon after they happen. When hero asks the same our lead character says that he has put an very brightest reporter in the field named Shadow. Now our hero works really pretty hard to find this shadow yet he fails. As the plot continues it is revealed that the news about events which were making this company huge were actually being planned and executed by the editor himself so that he could print them first and gain the audience.

Now that's what i remember, and really sorry for my poor narration. Please help me if you can.

Tab (tabbrown) | 5084 comments Sathya, you should change the title post to something more descriptive about the book. "Newspaper man helped by reporter named, "Shadow," or something like that.

You'll catch more eyes that way.

How many years ago did your uncle read this book? What genre did it fall under? Thriller, mystery, etc?

Sounds like the life story of Goodreads founder Otis Chandler...

My uncle read this book about 19 years ago and unfortunately he's unable to recollect the name.
