Actually, my therapist said that playing games is a good way to keep calm. That, and doing sports because you have to keep both your body and your mind busy. Plus therapy, of course.

Also, not sure what the context of these screen caps actually is. You can find friends via online games. I got to know my girlfriend this way and we met someone in her town only yesterday who plays the same MMO. I got to know a very good online friend through a game. Of course when you play a MMO, it's more about the people you play with so that might be different.
