Hi, I've had a mostly self directed practice for 20 some years with the guidance of bks iyengar and his book Light on Yoga. The last couple of years with the guidance of a couple of iyengar trained teachers which has been enormously beneficial. Another good one is 'The Science of Yoga' by William Broad. I appreciated the discussion about safety in inversion asanas. I'm now reading the Heart of Yoga

I downloaded The Science of Yoga on iBooks. And it's not on my Kindle and I don't hardly use my iPad too much. And so this book is really just handy for me to read on my iPhone. And I find I read like ... 2 minutes here and 5 minutes there. NOT the best way to get through a book! But there's tons of great information in the book. Anyways, welcome to the group!
