Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Good job Jamie. You were a few seconds ahead of me. lol. :)

message 452: by Gayatri (new)

Gayatri | 977 comments Guessing what?

message 453: by Gayatri (new)

Gayatri | 977 comments I think Garnet is way ahead of us. They are 217

message 454: by Gayatri (new)

Gayatri | 977 comments I think we just need to keep on reading books now :)

message 455: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments I had the same quote as Jamie so I was going to go ahead and guess since we're tight for time but she beat me to it. :P

message 456: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Yes read as many as possible and submit as late as possible to rack up points.

message 457: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Good the new puzzle is nice and long. That should help. :)

Reading Rediscovered (readingrediscovered) | 876 comments So....I went to the library today and picked up a few books I'm very interested in reading and are also on the BR list...they should help us!

message 459: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments So also put letters we use "on hold" Sorry for the few we got up. I posted before the last quote was grabbed. Was hoping to get lucky and tear through it. Luckily we can still get books in for points!

message 460: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments Okay, so we got be be a bit more serious that I'd hoped but still, we need to rack up letters. I olan on just reading over the next couple days (then my reading will likely crash for next week, lol).

I am almost done with Suspicion by Alexandra Monir as a br, but the only letter I can use is M, so if anyone can avoid that letter it will help us all the more. If possible.

Going to go review a few titles now, then getting to reading.

OH---**We should wait until toward the end to officially guess the quote. Guessing it too soon just gets the thread locked and game over. even if we know it, keep guessing. we can discuss and answer her so it isn;t offical then post in the review board later. Once we are closer to when it is over, I figure we can discuss who plans to be on and that person can answer for us. What does everyone think?

message 461: by Gayatri (new)

Gayatri | 977 comments Yeah that would be good. We should get our points up

message 462: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments I have a few BR to do but I'm kind of in a reading slump. I'm working on them a bit each day though.

Reading Rediscovered (readingrediscovered) | 876 comments Sadly I won't get very much reading done tomorrow as I'll be shooting a wedding. But I have quite a few more books planned for the rest of the month so that should be ok.

We only have through Sunday for this challenge. if everyone can try try to commit to even just 1 book in the next 36-48 hours we should be decent.

message 465: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments Got several books up, have a couple more ready to write reviews for but before I do, I wanted to check with others for what Letters everyone needs kept open. If you think you can finish a book in the next 36 hours or so (give or take a few), how many books and what letter can you use?
Tomorrow it just a bunch of reading and reviewing for me but with limited letter available. no holds can be used and sounds like (found being nosy on another group) that if it i a buddy read you can't dismiss the first letter guess and take just a bonus, or letter availability is crucial!
I hope we've all had a great time with this change and wish us luck as it wraps to a close this weekend!

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments For holding letters:

I have a short book that can count for: F, B, (A?), W, T, N, S, J, K, and R. I know that F, B, A, S, and K are taken already so do you want me to use W, T, N, or R?

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments For holding letters:

Oh and if I can figure it out I have a BR with S and M as letters but since those are already used I'm seeing what to do about it.

KK. I can still use W,N or R then. So that's fine.

message 470: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Also I have BR for Scarlet that I'm hoping I can finish today since I think today is the last day I can still count it as a BR so I need to know what extra letter I should use.

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Game's over in 24 hours from this point guys!!!

I hope they will count it. I just noticed Sarah wouldn't on another thread but it could be that they hadn't chosen one, I don't know for sure how it works. Asking was a good idea.

message 474: by Gayatri (new)

Gayatri | 977 comments I just used W and that was a good choice. So, are we guessing the quote last minute then?

message 475: by Jamie (last edited Aug 22, 2015 10:49AM) (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments yes.

message 476: by Jamie (last edited Aug 22, 2015 10:49AM) (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments Bookbuyer-please use R. With the W gone and T taken, it cuts me a bit tight too. But at least we all know :)

message 477: by Gayatri (new)

Gayatri | 977 comments Thats great! How do you read so much? I barely find the time

message 478: by Gayatri (new)

Gayatri | 977 comments I'm reading a book but, all the letters have been taken but, we need the points so what do I do?

message 479: by Jamie (last edited Aug 22, 2015 12:55PM) (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments Please do not claim these letters:

T (for Jessica)
N (for Jamie)
O (for Jamie)
R (for Bookbuyer)
X (for Jamie)
C (for Gayatri)

message 480: by Gayatri (new)

Gayatri | 977 comments oh god I have already taken O. Sorry. I didn't realise

message 481: by Jamie (last edited Aug 22, 2015 10:57AM) (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments Gayatri wrote: "Thats great! How do you read so much? I barely find the time"

Found a new alternative. I missed a possible letter. So it is all good. BacK to 6 books to finish reading reviewing. :) And either way, no worries. This is so hectic that things happen. You didn't know. Please, sometimes we just got to take what we can.

I have had most of this month off work for the most part so lots of time to read. Normally I don't get 1/2 this much done in a month but I told myself myself I wanted to go all out this month and with everything going on, please it being Arc August for me, sounded like a good chance to go for it.

message 482: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments Gayatri wrote: "I'm reading a book but, all the letters have been taken but, we need the points so what do I do?"

I don't think there is anything we can do with books like that. I have 2 books I was working on that I just put on hold until this was over to focus on something else.

message 483: by Gayatri (new)

Gayatri | 977 comments Don't take the letter C
I am reading a book with that letter guess

message 484: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments I asked that and you can still claim the books/points. You just won't get the associated letter.

message 485: by Jamie (last edited Aug 22, 2015 10:59AM) (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments Okay, got what we are using listed above up todate.

Sweet! I noticed you had asked, but not about the answer. Good to know :)

message 487: by Gayatri (new)

Gayatri | 977 comments oh great! I just asked that too before seeing your answer

message 488: by Jamie (last edited Aug 22, 2015 11:54AM) (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments looks like we can run through most of the letters between us all, as long as we stick to the list.

I will also need either a Z or L for one book and a U or H for another.

If you use one of these, let me know asap so I will use the other.

Completely unclaimed letter= I.

message 489: by Jamie (last edited Aug 22, 2015 12:50PM) (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments Oh, and I think I have the quote :)

If I get done Scarlet which right now is a pretty big if. I'll use the I as my bonus letter if you want.

message 491: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments That works. :) Or even one of the others. As long as both parts of the pairs don't disappear, I can still use them for our points.

message 492: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments KK.

message 493: by Jamie (last edited Aug 22, 2015 01:19PM) (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments Updated: Please do not claim these letters:

T (for Jessica)
N (for Jamie)
C (for Gayatri)
U (for Jamie)
Z (for Jamie)
L (for Jamie)

Available: I, or H

message 494: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments I think that is all the letters. Am I missing any?

message 495: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments Got 1 done, and another over 1/2 done. So just 2 and 1/2 books to go and they are all short. After today, I am going to have to slow way done on reading for a bit lol.

Reading Rediscovered (readingrediscovered) | 876 comments Letters left.
C - Gayatri
H
I
L - Jamie
T - me (Jessica)
U - Jamie

Reading Rediscovered (readingrediscovered) | 876 comments The one I'm working on is a BR so I'll take the I.

message 498: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments Reading my last book for the 3 I wanted to do! Then I just have to do reviews. however, once my last book is up, it will have the quote complete. When does everyone else think they will be done?

Reading Rediscovered (readingrediscovered) | 876 comments I just finished my book but won't get the review up for about 7 hours (I'm going to sleep).

message 500: by Gayatri (new)

Gayatri | 977 comments I'm about to finish a buddy read to give us two more points
